Please note the cowboy tub is NOT heated and is available April 1st until November 1st. Due to the location and a current fire ban there is a strict no outside fire policy. If it is discovered that you have started an outside fire, using fireworks or other open fire means your rental agreement will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. • ROADS You will travel a few hundred yards on a secure, hard dirt road to get here. • NOTES ABOUT HOME AND SOUND The home is soundproof throughout. This means you can enjoy a truly quiet and homely atmosphere. You will get some much-needed rest, sleep deeper than ever before whilst being in the heart of the Yucca Valley area. All in all, a quiet and relaxing retreat. • POOL Stock Tank Pool *Available April 1st until November 1st The stock tank pool is not a hot tub, therefore, the water is not heated and there are not jets but it will cool you off after a hot summer day. Water Level - The water level might be a bit low due to evaporation when you arrive at the Mesa House. Feel free to top it off using the hose located on the side of the house, by the lockbox. Bugs/Debris - You might also find some bugs or debris floating on the surface. You can quickly clear up the water using the net located by the pool and by turning on the pump located behind it. Remember to keep the pump on the “Timer” position (button pushed down) before checking out. Cover - Remember to place the cover back on before check-out, you can store the cover in the pot located next to the pool during your stay. • WILDLIFE The Mesa house is located in the heart of the Mojave desert where bugs, rodents and wildlife are abundant. Although the house is treated regularly to repel uninvited guests, remember to keep the doors closed during your stay to keep them outside. Lights and cooler temperatures are very attractive, especially during the summer. • IDENTITY VERIFICATION You will receive a text or email from Guest Ranger that will ask you to verify your identity and submit a picture of a government issued ID and a selfie. This information will be used to verify that the booking guest matches the credit card used and to help reduce any issues with identity theft. This process is mandatory to complete the booking. The data is protected in a hash-encrypted vault following data security standards including GDPR. Data-input in the vault is encrypted in a two-way function where information is scrambled using an encryption key and unscrambled later using a decryption key. On top of that, we use hashing to add an extra layer of security using a one-way function where a unique message digest is generated from an input file or a string of text. No keys are used.
