Make yourself at home in the comfortably furnished post and beam home with terrace and pond views, adventure in the surroundings, dip in fresh water streams, and relax in the claw foot bathtub. Located on a large, private country farm and forest property, the Cider House is set on its own, above a series of ponds. The historic cottage is well equipped with gas range and oven, large fridge/freezer, cookware /dishware/tableware, some cooking basics, dishwashing liquid, bath towels, bed linens and comforters. There is a terrace w outdoor furniture for guests. The owners live in the Carriage Barn on the property. The natural environment is interesting with miles of hiking and biking from the doorstep. The town of Petersham has Norman Rockwell type charm and features a great Country Store. Amherst is a beautiful 40 minutes drive over the top of the Quabbin Reservoir domain. The whole cottage will be available for you to enjoy, as well as the hundreds of acres of land surrounding. The main house that is further down the road is closed to guests. Our house is within view of the cottage and We are often at home. If you need to reach us and we are not home, you will be able to use cell contact.. Ample parking is available around the cottage. There is no public transport in the area, but the property is only 3 miles from the town center. The property also has walking access to extensive public lands and trails.
