Originally built in 1927, this delightful 1800 sq. foot, single-story home is dripping with original character and charm. Over the past four years, renovating this hidden gem has been our passion project. We have updated it with modern conveniences including; a fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and central air conditioning and heat. However, it was very important to us to keep as many of the original details and quirky history as possible scattered throughout. It is worn and cozy, like your favorite sweater, it is not perfect, but that is what we love so much about it. It is a place for travelers to explore, reset, reflect and create. We hope that you enjoy every moment of your comfortable stay. Savor your morning coffee in our quiet farmhouse kitchen. Wind down with a tall glass of red wine on the relaxing rooftop patio after a day of play in the beautiful New River Gorge. Spend an evening under the stars by the fire pit in the backyard. - This adorable bungalow is a short 5-minute walk to downtown shops, coffee shops and restaurants. Easy trail access for hiking/biking within a 15- minute walk to Town park. - 1800 sq. foot home | 4 bedrooms | 2 baths - This is a 8 person stay- no more than 8 people. The number of guests, includes adults and children (not infants). We do charge an additional guest fee for # of guests over 4. - The property is equipped with towels, bed linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and everything you need for basic cooking. - Parking: street parking in front of the main house. Max # of cars 3. - Private entrance & key code will be emailed to you 24-hours before check- in. - A Ring Video Doorbell is located at the front door. Audio and video recording from this location is triggered by movement at the front door. - Basic television, we do not offer cable. We hope guests will use our home as a place to stay to unplug, explore the beauty of the New River Gorge, relax, rejuvenate and connect with their friends/family. - Wifi access - Bedroom 1: Queen bed topped with soft cotton sheets and a down comforter. It has an attached private bath. - Bedroom 2: Two twin beds topped with plenty of pillows and a down alternative comforter. - Bedroom 3: Full size bed with soft cotton sheets, down comforter, and plenty of comfy pillows. -Bedroom 4/TV Room: (access to the kitchen is through this room): offers a queen size sofa bed that can be pulled out to conveniently house two people. - You will have access to the entire backyard as well as the fire pit & patio area and propane grill. Firewood is provided. Please Note: We have consciously chosen not to offer cable television. We hope guests will use our home as a place to stay to unplug, explore the beauty of the New River Gorge, relax, rejuvenate and connect with their friends/family. However, we know, sometimes you just want to curl up and watch a movie. We do offer a SMART television. Feel free to login to your own Netflix, or Amazon Prime account to watch a show or movie. ** You must walk through the TV room/4th bedroom to access the kitchen.** ** 3 is the Maximum Number Parking for Cars. ** ** Exterior video doorbell with camera for guest safety/security** ** Gas Fireplace is not operational for guests.** ** Pet(s) live on the property. Gracie, and Meadow, the golden retrievers will not be on the property if the house is rented. However, this may not be the rental for you if you are allergic to dogs. ** As much as we love dogs, we do not allow guests to bring pets. IMPORTANT: We highly recommend trip insurance as we do not provide refunds outside of our cancellation policy. Weather, family emergencies, sudden illness, natural disaster, etc., do not qualify for a refund. Trip insurance is very affordable and will typically cost less than 10% of your trip cost.
