Enjoy your stay at Melvin Sunset. Our peaceful neighborhood is just a short walk/drive from the quaint town of Bridgewater. Bridgewater College is 2 miles and JMU/Harrisonburg is 8 miles away. Our studio has a private secure entrance with stairs, and has all of the basics for a few days. Perfect spot to visit your college student or for homecoming, alumni visits, college tours or exploring the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Take in a hike or winery/brewery tour or visit Civil War Landmarks. Quiet studio apartment/bonus room over our garage. Sleep well on the Queen Tempur pedic mattress. We can add an air mattress if needed for 2nd guest upon advanced request. Reclining couch and glider to lounge and kick your feet up. High topped table for two as a work space or eatery. Full private bathroom. Flat screen TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi, private entrance with keypad. Efficiencies include a mini fridge/freezer, Keurig, microwave, toaster and steamer for clothing. Cabinet stocked with flatware, dining set and other utensils. Host can wash dishes if needed. Enjoy a welcome basket as you arrive well. Free parking in Cul-de-sac. Our town offers unique amenities including Generations Park (live summer concerts and movies under the stars, other venues and in the winter a covered ice skating rink). Explore one of Bridgewater's many parks in town or Wildwood park along the North River. Up for some family fun, enjoy Sandy Bottom 3 par golf course or Minigolf (seasonal). We are 20-40 minutes from great hikes in the George Washington National Forest or Shenandoah National park. Plenty of parking if you wish to drive into town to a local eatery or event. Downtown Harrisonburg just 8 miles away offers many options for entertainment. Catch a sporting event at JMU, a live performance at The Forbes Center for the Performing Arts, enjoy a thriving downtown scene with multiple delicious eateries or shopping in unique boutiques. The nightlife never disappoints either.
