The Primrose Cottage is a rustic one bedroom oceanfront bungalow situated on a bluff above the shoreline of Moosebec Reach. It has a separate bedroom from the living area. Built in the early 1900's in the Craftsman style. Modern plumbing and filtered water added later. Equipped with wi-fi and situated on the bluff up from the shore. Easy walk to the local library, historic society and marina. Easy drive to many points of interest including Bar Harbor, Acadia, Schoodic Point, Quoddy Head State Park and Campobello. Local hiking on Great Wass Island and Bar Island are within a ten minute drive. The cottage is a perfect spot to relax and take in the views or use as a launching point for Maine adventures. Jonesport is "real Maine." This is NOT Bar Harbor. No quaint restaurants and shops. Just places to hike, explore, and relax. Moosabec Reach is a working lobster boat harbor. The shore/beach is perfect for hunting for sea glass, discovering things that wash ashore and watching for seals and eagles, not for swimming or playing in the sand. Water is very cold. Tides are about 15 feet, so shore looks very different between high and low tides. The property is completely non-smoking, both inside and outside the cottage.
