Cozy Catskills Ski House near Windham + Hunter Mts

Welcome to the Catskills! Located 2 hours from NYC is this Mountain Gem! The 2-bedroom cottage is great for a family stay or a stay with friends who love the outdoors! Inside you'll find games, a TV with Netflix/Hulu/Disney+, and a fireplace! The house is close to all the outdoor activities you can imagine: Zoom Flume Water Park, swimming holes (with cliff jumping), hiking trails (try Kaaterskill Falls Trailhead), Windham and Hunter Mountains for skiing, Zip Lining and more. Free High Speed Wifi | Smart TV | Washer/Dryer INDOOR: This house features two bedrooms, one with a Queen Bed, and one with A twin day bed and twin trundle. The couch is large and comfortable, and there is an Eat-In-Kitchen fully stocked for the home chef. My favorite part of the house is the enclosed porch. I love curling up with a book with all of the natural light those big windows bring in. There are lots of blankets and pillows around to make your stay super cozy. OUTDOOR: Large benches with cushions surrounding the outdoor fire pit with an adult sized swing. I can't forget to mention the 6 acres of property that you can explore! In the summer, the HUGE, PRIVATE pool is open with a diving board to cool you off on those hot summer days, and a grill for your BBQ needs! There is a long driveway for parking at the house, however it is a little bumpy--welcome to the mountains! The whole house and property is yours to roam. The house is located in the small hamlet of East Durham. There is barely a street light in this town. There is a local general store, a salon, and two restaurants: Angels Restaurant (has pizza and Mexican food--very good), and Shamrock House, the local Irish pub (they have trivia!). The town has cute Irish accents everywhere, as well as a local Irish gift shop with tons of knick knacks and Irish themed items. East Durham is very close to Windham, and the roads you take to get there are on scenic byways, so it truly is a gorgeous 15 minute drive. If you're looking for libations and groceries, Cairo is less than a 10 minute drive away. There is also a local swimming hole, chat me for details! One thing to note is that the water is sulfurous in smell sometimes. It has been tested and is totally safe to drink and bathe in. Welcome to the mountains! We all have well water ;). Also, the trundle bed in the second bedroom doesn’t come out 100% of the way - but I have slept on it comfortably as an adult male. The bathtub is older and has a couple stains on it, but it is completely clean - my cleaner does a very thorough job. Ask questions - it's what I'm here for!
