Quiet, Convenient Farm House at Lake Ray Roberts

Charming 1930s renovated farm house on our property adjoining Lake Ray Roberts. Enjoy the spectacular sun and moon rise over the lake or walk down to the fishing and Public Hunting Land. 10 minutes to the marina, 15 to Isle du Bois State Park and 20 to the beautiful Denton square, UNT and TWU. Just miles away from many wedding venues and 30 mins to WinStar Casino. Enjoy the quiet serenity of our horses and cows grazing, or take a tour of the North Texas Horse Country. The house is very cozy and comfortable for 2 adults and up to 2 children, more than that gets a little tight since there is only 1 small bathroom. We want our guests to enjoy their stay without any surprises or disappointments. We have some fun and interesting things around the property (playscape, pond, gazebo, livestock, barns, etc.) Guests may enjoy these only at their own risk and with prior approval. Some things are limited to use only with Hosts. Please understand that this is an old house out in the country, we don't have cable and WIFI speed is limited. Cell phone reception is pretty good. There are TVs through out the house with excellent antenna reception, but no satellite. The 2 exterior doors in the bedrooms may not be accessible. The house is on a septic system and there is no dishwasher. There's space for a truck and trailer, if approved. The house is at the end of the road that ends at the lake. While there is very little traffic, it is not exclusive and people fish, hunt, hike and drive to the end of the road. The Guest House is on our property next to our main house. We are generally at home working around the property. We have friendly dogs that run on the property and are excited to meet new guests. We like to meet our guests upon arrival to ensure they are familiarized with the house systems and get settled in comfortably. Please let us know if you will be arriving outside of the check-in window. Some facilities on the property are not available to guests without our prior authorization and/or only with us. These include our main house, the barns, stables, garages, riding arena, pastures, playscape. We are pretty accommodating if rules are followed, but not so if not. Although this is a rural ranch area it is very conveniently located with direct access off of IH35. Please be sure to read and be accepting of the complete list of house rules especially for pets, extra guests and allowed activities. Pets (dogs only) are not free but charged at $25/night/dog rather than a set fee.
