Roundhill Farm - Summer Getaway with Pool

An historic 1750 farmhouse on a quiet, beautiful 120 acre property. Huge rooms with wide plank original flooring, 6 bedrooms, large family room with fireplace, kitchen, dining room, and formal living room with 2nd fire place. The property includes a pond which you're welcome to skate on, and a horse barn and pastures. In the summer you'll have access to our in-ground pool. Come enjoy country living, hike or snowshoe through private fields and woods, and skate on your own pond. We'll provide skates and hockey sticks! From the farmhouse front door, hike 10 minutes to the top of Roundhill to enjoy a gorgeous view and beautiful sunset. Experience the crystal clear night sky while relaxing around the fire pit with friends and family. Very secluded, but only 15 minutes from downtown Albany, and 5 minutes from West Sand Lake where you'll find Hannaford's grocery store, a post office, pizza and other restaurants, gas station, and drug store. Take Amtrak to Albany/Rensselaer Station, and a 15-minute Uber ride brings you to the farmhouse! Guests can enjoy the entire house. When outside, you'll be sharing the pastures with five horses, so we ask that you remain outside their fence line unless you're with one of our family members or Janelle, who takes care of the horses. The fence is electric, so please don't touch the wire! Feel free to hike the trails on our 120 acre property to our pond and up to the top of Roundhill for a great view. We live nearby and are available if you need anything. Escape the city to this rural farm in West Sand Lake, NY. Breathe in the fresh air as you walk our trails and quiet country roads, enjoying views of wide open space and very few people. We're a short 30-minute drive to Jiminy Peak Ski Resort in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. June Farms is a 5-minute drive where you can see goats, pigs, cows, horses, and ducks. Most people park next to the garage (separate building behind house), so that the loop is not blocked. The Amtrak train station is 10 minutes away, and you can easily catch an Uber to the farmhouse. Take the Albany/Rensselaer exit from train. A separate building is on the property with a garage and apartment above. My brother-in-law, Eric lives in the apartment.
