Welcome to Hummingbird Hut. A tiny container house in the deep woods of the Cumberland Plateau. An eco build free standing house with private covered deck. Features include TV with dvd movies available, comfortable queen bed with a step that easily pulls out from under bed, full bath, coffee maker, mini fridge/ freezer, table top gas grill, fire pit, and a place to rest , unplug, and dream. The Hummingbird Hut was created, designed, and built by a woman. It is one of 3 homes on property. Each home was designed with privacy in mind, and offers separate private decks for each container house. Nestled in the forest, in a quiet rural neighborhood, the Hum Hut is a perfect place to nest, unplug, and fall asleep to the forest symphony . Guests can use the deck attached to the Hummingbird Hut, the fire pit area, and driveway. Owner lives nextdoor and is rehabbing other containers for future spaces to stay The owner is available to guests, and resides next door to Hum Hut. Hum Hut is situated in a quiet rural neighborhood surrounded by trees , nature and wildlife. A short drive into Sewanee for food, meals, activities. It is one of 3 tiny homes on 5 acres, with beautiful scenic, quiet woods off deck. Ample parking for guests and visitors. People do stop by randomly to admire the the tiny compound. You can drive around town or rent bikes from Woody's in Sewanee and cruise the mountain goat trail. My favorite things to do in Sewanee: Order food from Shenanigans, Thia Kran, Or Blue Chair, get munchies from Mooney's grocery, take a hike in Sewanee Abbo's Alley, ride bikes on mountain goat trail, visit goat farm in Sewanee, swim in lake Dimmick or Lake Cheston, and The Caverns concerts.
