PARADISE RIDGE ~ CLEAN QUIET RELAX UNPLUG UNWIND

Paradise Ridge sits on 30 acres in the Mountains of Western North Carolina in the Middle of the Nantahala National Forest. Paradise Ridge was created with privacy and beauty in mind. Prepare to Unplug, Relax and Unwind!! (There is no WIFI and the cell phone service is spotty) Remote location. Only 30 minutes from shopping and restaurants. Close to Rafting, Fishing, Hiking and lots of other outdoor activities! Enjoy the simple pleasures of being outdoors! Everything is better in the Mountains! This glamping site is very remote, secluded, peaceful, cozy and clean. This space is designed for 2 guests only. (No children under the age of 12 are allowed) Paradise Ridge guests are very special! In order to make this space private, it meant that we would have to put the camp site on the ridgeline of the mountains. The camp site is accessible via hiking. We are happy to take our guests and all of their belongings up to the camper upon arrival and departure. We are here to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You will be asked to park at our house and hike in and out during your stay. The trail is approximately 1/4 of a mile, which a hiker in good condition can do in approximately 5 minutes one way. There are so many things to do in the area for the Adventurous! Hiking, Zip-Lining, White Water Rafting, Fishing, Boating and Riding the Tail of the Dragon, just to list a few. This is also the perfect place to relax, unplug and recharge! Take is easy and enjoy all that mother nature has to offer. Bird watching, take a nap, have a picnic at the lake, read a book, whittle a walking stick, color in one of our Adult coloring books, play cards or watch a movie. Enjoy sitting by the fire in the evening and roasting hotdogs and making s'mores! The stars are spectacular in the mountains. We have created an outdoor kitchen space for everyone to enjoy. Cook breakfast and or dinner outdoors and enjoy the beauty this space has to offer. The camper kitchen is stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, pots and pans. Small coffee pot, filters and coffee and spices. A Cooktop stove, microwave, toaster and small refrigerator. The outdoor kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, oil, griddle, grill, toaster oven and small refrigerator. You are in the Mountains so be prepared to encounter wildlife (Deer, Turkey, Bear, Bobcats, Coyotes, racoons, snakes, etc.), bugs, spiders and toxic plants. We recommend that you bring: Hiking boots, bug spray, flashlights, walking/hiking sticks, a jacket for the cool nights and slippers or house shoes for inside the camper and don't forget your camera. We have a 2 canoes, a tandem kayak and a peddle boat available if you are interested. Let us know upon booking and we can discuss the details. If you would like a private Jeep ride of the area, please let us know. Paradise Ridge is located near many mountain activities and attractions. We are 30 minutes from the closest town so we recommend that you bring your groceries and supplies with you. The climate is mild. We have a lot of cool evenings and usually a nice breeze. Please do not leave food or trash laying around as there are wild animals that may be attracted to it. Please leave your pets at home. Please help us keep the camper and surrounding areas clean and tidy. We want to be able to continue to offer low prices and keep everything looking nice. We take pride in ensuring that our guests receive a personal interaction while respecting their privacy. We live here on the property and are home the majority of the time. If you need anything during your stay please feel free to let us know. We meet all of our guests upon arrival. If you have an extended stay with us it may be necessary for us to come up and cut the grass, blow leaves, pick up linens and launder them and anything else that may require our attention. Paradise Ridge is located in the small rural mountain community of Nantahala. It is a quiet and scenic area. Paradise Ridge is close to the Queens Lake, Lake Nantahala, The Nantahala River, The Nantahala Gorge, Fishing, Hiking and White Water Rafting. The mountain views are beautiful and you may even get a chance to see some wildlife. Personal vehicle is the normal transportation here. You will need to park your vehicle at our house. We will help you get all your belonging up to the camper when you arrive and depart. You will be asked to hike in and out during your stay. We are usually close by and always here to help in anyway we can. You are not required to have 4x4 to stay at Paradise Ridge! Our guests park at our house and hike in and out during their stay. We are here to help you up to the camper with all your belongings upon your arrive and departure. Please be prepared for the hike up the mountain to the camper with the proper shoes, gear, lights, etc.
