We have 2 full baths, 5 bedrooms, a living room with TV , game area and video library of VHS and DVD's, Wifi, a patio with a gas grill and a fire pit! There are flower gardens around 500' of picket fence and we have a barn quilt! We are close to a UTV/Snowmobile trail. Great place for a ladies DIY crafting weekend. We'd love to share the history of our farm! Welcome to a step back in time! This is our "Old Farm House meets Modern Farm House". We are inviting you to enjoy the farm that I grew up on. It is over 100 years old. We have incorporated A LOT of history in our renovation, from all the decor, to telling the story of the family farm and the way things used to be. Some say it's like a museum. For me, it's a tribute to all of the hard work of my family and we hope you will enjoy that aspect! The farm has changed over the years, but the one thing that hasn't changed, is its country charm! This would also be the PERFECT getaway for a ladies DIY crafting vacation! I am offering hands-on crafting during your stay. You can leave with two DIY crafts, such as your own tiered tray, farmhouse wall hangings and other farm house decor. Or you can make a wreath or flower arrangement. You decide how many projects to do! Additional fees will be based on projects selected. Most would be $25 per person, for supplies and instruction for each project. You can choose which ever works for your schedule. Message me for more details. Fees would be collected after your arrival. All rooms have been updated back to its historical beginnings, but with modern amenities. There are 5 bedrooms. Four have full-size beds upstairs; the lower level has a queen. There are plenty of bed linens and extra pillows. We have 2 full baths. The bath upstairs has the original cast iron tub, with shower. The lower level bath, has a walk in shower. Plenty of towels provided. Hair dryers and toiletries are available if needed. Everything that you need to cook with is in the kitchen! Our updated kitchen boasts a cast iron sink, butcher block counter tops, coffee bar area and real barn board decor. The island is a converted dresser, which holds some of my mom’s favorite cookbooks, if you’d like to try a new recipe! We have plenty of eating spaces - one off of the kitchen and a formal dining room. There is also a patio area to enjoy, with a gas grill available in good weather and we added a boulder fire pit on the old barn yard! We have a living room with a TV and a fun game area on the enclosed front porch. I have all of my games from when I was a kid, for your enjoyment. That’s from over 50 years ago! We also have a video library of VHS and DVD's if you'd like to enjoy a movie. There isn’t Dish network or cable, but there are over 30 local channels. We do have Wifi to keep you connected and a landline phone, if you’d like to make a call using a phone book! While children are certainly welcome, our house is not set up for toddlers. We have a staircase of 15 stairs to the upper bedrooms, so safety is our main concern for this age bracket. PLEASE contact us with any questions. In warmer weather, RELAX and wander through the many flower gardens around 500' of picket fence, with country accents. Many photo ops with the beautiful scenery! Not only flowers galore, but birds as well! We also have old-time yard games for your enjoyment. Our barn has a barn quilt on it. There are over 150 barn quilts on barns in our county, that you can see on a driving tour. We are also only 1.5 miles away from a UTV and snowmobile trail. If you would like to learn about the history of our farm, please let us know. We would love to tell you how the farm operated years ago. I have had nothing but great memories while growing up. It is our wish that you will leave our farm with great memories of your own! Guests have access to the whole house, excluding the basement and attic areas.
