The kitchen has all brand new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, kuireg coffee maker and dinnerware place settings for 8 people. There is a washer/dryer located in the kitchen pantry. The apartment was completely renovated in May 2016 and has new beds, new linens, new towels, new appliances, new dinnerware, new glassware, new toaster oven, new Keurig coffee maker and much more - completely ready for your stay. Interaction with Guests We will try to meet you at check in to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. The Neighborhood The apartment is located just outside of Davis Square which is a safe and trendy area. It is perfect for parents bringing kids to college, visiting on parents weekend or celebrating graduation. It is also a great home base for families/friends to explore Boston, Cambridge and Somerville but also to venture by car to Concord, Lexington, Newburyport, Glouster, Marblehead and other locations outside the city. The location is 1 block from Tufts University and .5mi from Davis Square (10 min walk) to the MBTA Redline T subway stop. The Redline train goes directly to Harvard Square (5 min - 2 stops) and Boston Charles Street (12 min - 5 stops) away. There is a Hubway bike rental 1 block away at Powder House rotary. Getting Around The easiest way to get around Boston is the subway train (called T). The nearest stop is located in Davis Square. Our property is a pleasant 10 min walk to Davis Square and the MBTA Redline T subway stop. The Redline train goes directly to Harvard Square (5 min - 2 stops) and Boston Charles Street (12 min - 5 stops) away. There is a Hubway bike rental 1 block away at Powder House rotary. Other Things to Note There is one parking space in the driveway for guests driving in or renting a car. An additional 3-day street parking pass is also provided. Longer stay street visitors parking permits are available for a fee. The apartment is located on the second and third floors, so guests should be comfortable navigating stairs. The house was built in the 1900s and the stairs are slightly steeper/narrower than new construction which is typical for most of the houses in the area.
