Spacious Room with Private Bath

This large bedroom with two big windows and a skylight is one of two rooms offered on the second floor of our home. The large private bath with a bathing tub and shower is just outside your door. Guests have use of a basement kitchen and laundry. For our long term guests we offer free 24 hour access to the local fitness center Our large, welcoming second floor bedroom is your private space. There is a walk in closet, a desk and a small fridge for your convenience. In the warmer months we provide supplemental air conditioning (our home also has central air) so you can keep your room at a temperature that is comfortable to you. You are welcome in the rest of our home including our sun room and on our wrap around porch when the weather permits. Other than our personal private bedroom and bath, the house is pretty much your home away for home. There is a fully stocked (appliances and utensils) kitchen in our basement, along with laundry facilities, which you are welcome to use. We have a very welcoming sun room where you can relax and enjoy the outdoor views. We also have a natural gas grill on our wrap around porch which you are welcome to use. We lead fairly active lives between work, and spending time with our grown kids and our grandkids. We are sure to see you and would enjoy visiting with you if your schedule and ours allows. Our house is located on a quiet u-shaped street with most homes sitting on large 2+ acre lots. We are 5 minutes from downtown Crete which boasts numerous eating establishments, as well as an ice cream shop, two coffee/sandwich shops, and a microbrewery. There is a forest preserve less than 10 minutes walking distance from our home where you can "hike" in the woods. We are approximately 45 minutes from downtown Chicago by car, 50 minutes by train. We are located about 10 minutes from 394, and 15 minutes from I-57. There are two commuter (Metra) train stations about 10 minutes by car from our home Please note:. We are pet friendly, but only welcome guests with pets in our studio apartment. We have a dog who has unleashed and unfenced access to our yard.
