Two story townhouse nestled in picturesque and majestic Delaware Valley between New York & Pennsylvania. Spectacular grounds and access to the river with common beachfront nearby. Great getaway for a day or a week. Day trips to shop and eat at river towns up and down river corridor including Barryville, Narrowsburg, and Callicoon, NY. Ski at Masthope Mountain at Big Bear or hike local trails. Slumberland is a rental house that offers private, simply appointed apartments, and big outdoor common spaces in a relaxing environment and in close proximity to local towns and the river. We have 3 units (all with private entrances), so guests can always find a place to wander off on our trails, by the camp fire, or down by the river -- or to strike up a conversation and enjoy a coffee in our public areas. Great spot for visiting friends and family or for longer term work retreat. Private rooms, kitchen and dining area Owner is available 24/7 via text and is periodically in basement feeding the woodstove through separate entrance. Beautiful river valley. Historical setting featuring barns, period homes, and cemetery from the late 1800s. Local towns feature new 'hipster' restaurants and shops -- But we think the best place is right here. Listen to the river, sit by a campfire, read a book, go rafting or canoeing, and watch the eagles fly by. Guests may travel to area from NYC using Metro North or NJ Transit to Port Jervis stop. From there it is a spectacular drive up Scenic Route 97 to our property. No local public transportation. Want us to pick you up? No problem. Once you're here food and supplies can be ordered and delivered to Slumberland over the internet. There is no need to go anywhere else... unless you want to.
