Private rural getaway

The Townhouse at Bally Lough, in rural NY 2 miles from "downtown" Findley Lake, overlooks our own private 2.5 acre fish-stocked pond. Furnished with the personal furniture and art collected by the owners over many years, the townhouse includes master bedroom, large kitchen, combo living room/dining room, and bathroom with a large custom tub. Large deck with gas grille overlooks the pond and woods beyond. The 60 acres are crossed by marked hiking trails for your outdoor pleasure. The wood accented living room with cathedral ceiling provides dramatic setting for some of our favorite art. We love the many different views of the pond from each room. Two futons create space for additional guests, as couches in the day and semiprivate sleeping at night. A sound system offers the option of music. Two Townhouses sitting side by side at the Bally Lough property, along with a farmhouse shouting distance away, are the only inhabited homes on Constance Pond. Parking spaces in front of each townhouse provide parking for each guest. Currently, the left townhouse (north) is the home of the proprietors, inhabited only during the growing season. The right side (south) accommodates guests as a vacation rental. The entire south Townhouse--a separate space-- is dedicated to vacation rental guests. On-the-ground management maintain relations with guests when the proprietors are not in residence. We are not in residence in the winter but our on-the-ground management who are also family are available by text and phone and live and work nearby. After you have confirmed your arrival and paid for your time through Airbnb, you will be given the address, the key code and the numbers for on-the-ground management. When we are in residence, my husband and I will offer some initial advice (if you want it) and then leave you to enjoy yourselves. Each of the three residences on Constance Pond have their own firepit, outdoor picnic table, deck overlooking the pond, and barbecue. Chautauqua County sits squarely between four large cities in each direction--Pittsburgh, Erie, Buffalo, and Cleveland. Feedback from our guests tells us that urban dwellers rightly see Chautauqua County as an unspoiled vacation paradise: rural yet cultured, a simpler life style, easily accessible from major highways.
