Relaxing living & amenities. Elegant craftsman style home, great WiFi, FIOS & optimum back up. Hardwood floors, comfy beds & chairs, 2 fireplaces, outdoor fire pit. Spilt firewood incl. Viking stove, wine chiller, ice maker dishwasher. 30 min. drive to GW bridge or take ferry to metro north in Ossining from Haverstraw. walk to bus to NYC via Nyack. Drive 20 min. to Woodbury Commons, 25 min. to West Point. Shops & markets, restaurants (delivery avail) 5 mins drive. No use of basement. The house is close to the road but the rear deck seems like it is in a forest with towering pines and hardwoods on three sides and stream in the ravine below. Each room has bedside plugs for phones and devices. Two bedrooms have work spaces, one round table and one desk. The dining room table can also be used as a workspace. The WiFi has FIOS with Optimum as a back-up and automatic switching for best speed. Guests have access to both floors of living space, all areas. Guests have access to the rear porch, rear deck and the yard. There is no access to the basement. Myself or my girlfriend are available for anything you need during your stay. One of us will meet you to let you in or we can do a remote access on your own with a combination given to you at your time of booking and then you'll b left alone to enjoy the solitude. The Hudson Valley has amazing hiking, dining and shopping. NYC is 35 minutes, midtown is about an hour depending on traffic. West Point is 25 minutes north. Bear Mountain State park is 15 minutes. Woodbury Commons Outlets are 20 minutes north. Harriman State Park and the 7 Lakes are 15 minutes. Stony Point battlefield, is 10 minutes. Storm King Art Center sculpture park is 25 minutes. The walkable town of Nyack with lovely shops, fine restaurants and nightlife is 18 minutes south. You have to confirm transportation due to Covid-19. Routes have been changed. Normally you can catch a bus to NYC after a 15 minute walk to the Stony Point Park and Ride on Route 9W. Or bike (18 minutes) or drive (12 minutes) to the ferry In Haverstraw which goes to the Ossining Metro North train line into Grand Central. The neighbors are not close but the house is on a main road.
