"BaseCamp" -- Remodeled cottage in Collbran

Located in the small town of Collbran, Colorado, BaseCamp is centrally located to the Grand Mesa (12-22 miles), Powderhorn Ski Resort (20 miles), and Vega State Park (10 miles). We built the vacation home with practical, outdoor enthusiasts in mind; it’s small and simple but rustic and cozy. Just off Highway 330, BaseCamp is a convenient starting point for all of your outdoor activities. The 800 sq. ft. building sits beside Plateau Creek, where you can fish, wade, or watch the wildlife. Although the outside of the cinder block building is a project still in progress, the inside is especially comfortable and inviting. Completed in January of 2021, it’s new and clean and feels like home. The larger bedroom features a queen-size bed, the smaller bedroom a twin-size bunk bed, and the living room a queen size sofa bed. BaseCamp can accommodate six people total. We’ve stocked the kitchen with everything you need including a few basic staple items like coffee and tea, flour and sugar. BaseCamp has free wi-fi, Roku TV, and the capability for online movie streaming. You'll have full and private access to BaseCamp during your stay. Please note, most Collbran businesses close by 8 pm. If you arrive late, bring necessary food and supplies with you. We work full time and we don't live on site, so we might stop by to say hello or answer questions, but we won't disturb you during your stay. You can reach us by phone, text, or email. Grandma and Grandpa live next door, so we ask that you do not bring your pets, more than three vehicles, or disturb them. We do not provide daily maid service, but extra linens are provided for your convenience. Collbran truly is a "basecamp" to lots of outdoor activities. The Grand Mesa offers a variety of recreation activities including four-wheeling and snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and hiking. Powderhorn Ski Resort boasts great skiing with short lines, and Vega State Park features dining at the lodge, fishing, waterskiing, and boating. The town of Collbran is a quaint little town with several parks, a rodeo grounds, and one bar/restaurant, gas station, and grocery store. BaseCamp has satellite wi-fi available. It also has good 5G T-Mobile and At&T cell phone service and data (not sure about the other carriers). We are located along Highway 330 about a mile from town. The basic cleaning fee is included in your rate. If excessive cleaning time is needed for a dirty kitchen, excessive laundry, trash thrown outside, etc., $50 per hour will be charged. If you prefer a vacation rental a bit more private or an experience a little more rugged, we have two other vacation rentals that might suit your needs. One is a guest room built in a silo (The Silo), and the other is an outfitter's tent on the backside of our property (Mossy Oaks Camp). Both are listed on AirBnB.
