Enjoy idyllic forest views while lounging in the open-concept dining room/living room/kitchen of this charming 5-bedroom, 2-bath home, which comes complete with a hot tub, electric [infrared] fireplace, and 3-season sun porch with foosball & air hockey table. Our home is situated on a large, wooded, corner lot in rural Lee Township, Michigan, just 2.5 hours from Chicago & 3 hours from Detroit. Our home consists of ranch-style construction and includes a spacious walk-in shower, plus no stairs inside. Great for families! *12 max guests (10 max adults) includes kids of ALL ages* **NOTE: The home comes with private beach access to Upper Scott Lake, which is a mile away. A canoe with paddles & life vests is provided free for renter use, and kayak rental is also available at reasonable daily rates.** White Oaks Haven is one of our newer vacation homes, and it is set on a large, private, half-wooded lot in rural Lee Township. Private beach access to nearby (1 mile away) Upper Scott Lake is included with this home, as well as unrestricted use of our canoe AND kayak rental for reasonable daily rates (reservations and pre-payment required). White Oaks Haven previously operated as a hobby farm and was designated as a National Wildlife Habitat because of its abundance and a great variety of organically-grown plants, flowers, bushes, and trees. The home sits on a large, grassy lawn, and comes complete with an outdoor fire pit and hot tub. Our entire home, yard, and nearby private beach access are ready and waiting for your exclusive use during your stay. Decorated in a charming country style, this accessible (i.e. no stairs inside) vacation home features private bedrooms, and picture windows with serene woodland views. The shared living area includes a generous, well-lit, open space complete with a full kitchen, dining area, and living room area. The roomy kitchen is fully equipped with dining ware, cookware, utensils, modern appliances, ample small appliances, butcher-block island, plenty of counter space, abundant cabinet space, and even a very large double pantry. The extra-large dining table can seat at least 12 comfortably, and the dining area features a ceiling fan with chandelier lighting. The lounge area of the living room is furnished with a leather sofa, loveseat, and oversized chair, along with a 43" flat-screen TV with 235-plus stations of satellite television service (including Fox Sports & local channels) and a DVD player. Cuddle up together and enjoy the warmth of our electric log fireplace to ward off the chill of those cold winter evenings. All of these connected and open areas are arranged under a ceiling with inset canister lighting and framed by huge picture windows on both the north and south sides of the home. The airy 3-season porch is equipped with both foosball and air hockey tables and also includes a 5-piece patio dining set.
