Yellow Cottage on the shore of Little Moxie Cove

Our architect-designed cottage is charming, comfortable, and waiting for you to discover its many unique features. Only rented for a few weeks per summer, it is a beloved family retreat. The ocean starts at the end of the lawn, and a charming seaside village is within walking distance. If you wish to swim, jump off the rocks or wade in from the beach -- then rinse off with the outdoor shower. This is a great place for families to make memories together! 100% cotton sheets, comforters and towels. There is a 1st floor bedroom and three 2nd floor bedrooms. Every room has a view of the ocean. The loft above the living area is a perfect place to spend time with a good book. While there is no central heating, a wood stove can keep you cozy on chilly evenings. The spacious open kitchen design means that no one is stuck doing kitchen duty during vacation, and the whole family can participate in cooking. There's also a grill outside the kitchen door, and meals can be enjoyed in the open air on the deck or at the picnic table on the lawn. Peaceful cove on the coast of Maine. Here are their comments: The "cottage" is really amazing—a cool mix of modern design and rustic Maine vibes that fit in with its surroundings. The location is perfect for those looking to get away and just be immersed in nature right from the deck overlooking the water. It's off the beaten path and quiet, but a short (15 min) drive from local art studios, lighthouse, and more. Kayakers—we brought our kayaks and had friends rent from Maine Kayak (about 15 min drive) and launched every day from the stone beach that's a short walk from the front yard. From the grassy yard carry boats probably 100 feet at high tide and maybe 200 feet at low tide into an easy launch in a sheltered cove. Easy paddling to local town for lobster and within an hour to many Muscongus Bay islands and nature preserve. We'll try and be back next year! We had a spectacular stay at Yellow Cottage! Beautiful house on a beautiful property perfect for a quiet stay. We had a delightful stay at The Yellow Cottage. It was a perfect spot for morning dips in the water and kayaking (easy local rental). Within a 5 minute drive are a farm stand, ice cream/candy shop and waterfront eats, as well as easy trails. Camden and Rockport are within an hour’s drive but closer by is Damariscotta with its own charm and top notch produce options. The Cottage itself is all about serenity and calm, especially when taking in the view from the porch or the expanse of the living room windows. Whether it’s gazing at the stars or tracking the lobster boats, one can truly unwind and feel rejuvenated staying at The Yellow Cottage. It was a perfect stay. Barbara has a wonderful home in an exceptional setting. We had a great time. The Little Moxie Cove House has a floor plan that makes family time natural. The kitchen had everything we needed, the loft was a huge hit with our daughter, and the bedrooms were comfortable. The deck, yard, and setting were truly special. Every feature of the House was just as described. Barbara took the time to give us recommendations for activities in the area. She was available but not intrusive. The perfect host. We had a great time in Barbara’s home and hope to return.
