Marfa House Candelaria: In the center of Marfa

Marfa House, originally built as a railroad hotel in 1890, offers an oasis of comfortable accommodations in the heart of Marfa's historic center, only a short walk from galleries, restaurants, and bars. Our apartments have kitchen and dining amenities to provide guests with meal-time options. Our apartments also feature solid-wood beds, premium bedding, and furnishings and original art with a contemporary and West Texas flair. The space The Candelaria is a one bedroom/one bath apartment with a full kitchen/dining room and a living room with comfortable seating. It features original art throughout, a gas fireplace to provide warmth and ambiance on cool evenings, and a blue tooth speaker allowing guests to stream their own music selections. The bedroom has premium bedding, and seating for reading or monitoring electronic devices. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and a large light-filled en suite bathroom with frameless glass shower and closet space for hanging clothing and storing luggage. Candelaria may be linked to a second bedroom with its own en suite bath by also renting El Balcon, a small contiguous Marfa House apartment which may be entered from the Candelaria kitchen or directly by private entrance from the 2nd floor balcony. El Balcon has twin beds that may also be configured as a king-sized bed. Renting the two apartments provides convenient space for two couples or a family of four. Candelaria guests can also relax in our art gallery, enjoy the view and ambiance from comfortable seating on our front balcony, or nest in the banquette seating in our screened atrium with its fire pit and large-screen TV. Interaction with guests Our on-site manager will assist you in meeting your needs as a guest and offering suggestions and information about local venues. Other things to note The City of Marfa charges a local occupancy tax of seven percent, in addition to the state occupancy tax of six percent. We are registered with the City as Lodging No. S105.
