This charming apartment is the entire 3rd floor of an historic row house in the dynamic neighborhood of Columbia Heights. The apartment is separate and private with a door at the bottom of the stairs, but the entry is through the main house where I live. You may come and go as you please. I'm a writer & work at home. I have a dog and two cats (and often foster kittens) in the main house. The animals never go into the apartment. You must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. RATES $125.00/ night for 2 people. For more than 2 people there is an additional $10.00 (total, not per person) per night. Price INCLUDES tax and cleaning (for stays of 4+ nights.) (For fewer than 4 nights - $50.00 cleaning fee.) From March-July, there is minimum stay of 4 nights unless there is a natural gap on the calendar. LOCATION Only Half-block from Columbia Heights Metro station, (Yellow/Green line) it is only 5 stops (7-10 minutes) to tourist areas - Smithsonian museums, US Capitol, Convention Center, Zoo. NEARBY - within two blocks Dozens of restaurants and cafes, neighborhood pubs, coffee shops, grocery Store, CVS drugstore, Farmer's Market. Shopping center with Target & Marshals. (Travel light and buy it all here!) Other neighborhoods with similar vibrant nightlife & restaurants - Adams Morgan, Dupont Circle, Mount Pleasant & U st - are an easy 15-20 minute walk, or one subway stop away. AMENITIES - The apartment has one bedroom with queen sized bed, a full bathroom and a separate living room with a comfy queen-sized sofa bed. There is a TV with cable & DVD in each room. High speed Wireless INTERNET. In the living room there is a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, 2 electric burners, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, etc. - everything you need to prepare light meals. Because of the open stairs the apt. is not safe for crawling babies and toddlers. There is one Aerobed available, making it possible for 3 children to share the living room. This is very crowded however and not recommended for longer than 4 nights. PARKING I provide a permit for free street parking. Off street parking is available - $10.00 per night.
