Groter's 4 Season Cottage

Groter's Cottage is a cozy, 4 season cottage located on the beautiful grounds of The Camp at Findley, a Christian Camp and Retreat Center. The cottage features 3 bedrooms with sleeping for 6, a full bath, and kitchen, all remodeled in 2018! There is a large outside deck with a view of Findley Lake. Your stay includes use of 150 acres for hiking, biking, swimming, cross country skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, fishing/ice fishing (with license), and boating. We are a 4 season cottage across the street from the lake, up the hill within the camp grounds. Lake access includes swimming, fishing, non-motor boating (kayaks, paddleboats and canoes), hiking and biking trails. Or ask us about dock space to park your motor boat. We’re 5 min from Peek n Peak Resort, which includes golfing, swimming, rope courses and Segways. 35 min from Erie, PA and Erie Zoo, 13 miles of beach at Presque Isle State Park, Waldameer amusement park and Erie Children's Museum. Chautauqua Institute is only 15 min away located on beautiful Chautauqua Lake. Bemus Point, NY has Ellicottville Brewing along with more shopping and dining. Another 15 min is scenic North East, PA. Home of 20+wineries and restaurants. Within quaint Findley Lake- shops, antique stores, restaurants and small grocery store. Winter has skiing at the Peek, snowmobile trails, ice fishing, etc., and the Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile trail system runs through our property for easy access. Autumn has harvest festivals and Fall Fest at Peak 'N Peek. The Creator has blessed this land and left it for those looking for reformation and transformation. Even if you’re looking to just unwind and go nowhere, you will not be disappointed with God's beauty all around. You have use of the Camp at Findley grounds during your stay, from hiking trails, waterfront (swimming, kayaks, canoes and paddle boats) ask for details, playground and basketball court. During winter season you can use the hills for sledding or the property for cross country skiing or ice fishing (must have NY state fishing license). Findley Lake is a beautiful low key town with shops to go to, restaurants, homemade ice cream shop in the summer and a beautiful lake to enjoy. Its about 5.5 miles around - you can walk, run, or ride your bikes. Friendly peaceful place to be. Public consumption of alcohol is prohibited on The Camp at Findley grounds. No smoking inside cottage or any buildings.
