Cedar River Getaway

Up north getaway on the Cedar River with 480 foot of frontage. . ***Self-check in, with a keyless entry system! *** Experience private tranquil pathways and boardwalks through the secluded river and cedar woods, rushing water from the waterfall/rapids, and on the hot summer days jump into the "swimming hole" or "lover's leap". 4 bedroom/2.5 bath: with all bathrooms recently remodeled, tongue and groove ceilings and walls, roomy loft bedroom, and attached rustic sitting room/sleeping space complete with washer/dryer amenities. The home accommodates up to 8 people, if some are kids. With room for multiple people, your family will want to make this an annual vacation spot! Other outstanding amenities include: 1 car garage, 2 picnic tables, 2 fire pits, and water frontage on the river. We are 5 miles from Shanty Creek Resort Areas for golfing, skiing, fitness center, etc. Or, 5 miles to Lake Bellaire and Torch Lake. Also, 5 minutes from downtown Bellaire, which includes: Shorts Brewery, Bee Well Meadery, Hello Vino wine bar, Mammoth Distilling, Ruthie’s Dairy Twist, or a number of other local establishments. Or, spend the day in: Charlevoix (35 minutes), Petoskey (50 minutes), Gaylord (35 minutes), Traverse City (55 minutes). Fire pit on boardwalk alongside the river, also fire pit closer to garage for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs. Two picnic tables available for use. Kitchen fully stocked with all needed cookware and utensils, including regular coffee pot, Keurig coffee maker, and griddle. A propane grill is available for grilling, propane tank is stocked. Initial limited supply of paper towels, toiletries, Keurig coffee pods, etc. setup dependent upon how many guests are indicated at time of booking. There is one TV, with a DVD player. Books, board games, and some DVD’s stocked. This cabin will take you back in time to a simpler, more relaxed feeling. No cable, no satellite, and no WIFI available in order for you to enjoy your private getaway away from life’s hustle. The cabin has a 240 volt window air conditioning unit newly installed. The unit is large enough to cool down the entire space for those hot and humid summer nights. In general the a/c unit is not needed as the cabin is shaded from the trees most of the day. Generally the nights cool down considerably, and there are fans in each bedroom, as well as two ceiling fans in the main living area. The river is also quite refreshing on the hot summer days! Cell phone coverage is poor to nonexistent, depending upon your service provider. Cabin is setup for up to 8 guests, each additional guest up to a max of 10 is $25 extra per person. There is an additional sleeper sofa for guests over 8, ask owners if interested. Note: if more than the booked amount of guests are found to have stayed, a portion or all of the security deposit will not be refunded. Parking space is limited due to the nature of the property layout, with room for one vehicle in the garage, and three vehicles and one boat/trailer on the lawn.
