Downtown Santa Cruz is less than a 30 min. drive. Perfect romantic hideaway or active adventure base for a special visit to the coast. This beautiful studio apartment is newly built, approx. three years old. It boasts a full kitchen and gorgeous wood floors with radiant heat. Located in Bonny Doon, it offers peace and quiet while being 30 minutes from Santa Cruz, 10 minutes to Davenport, and 20 minutes to Felton by car. Bonny Doon beach is about 8 minutes away, and Beauregard Vineyards winery is a short 5 minute drive. Designed to be spacious and open, with a natural connection to the outdoors, it is perfect for a single person or couple looking for a place to relax and enjoy the ocean and forest or a multitude of outdoor activities. Bonny Doon was affected by the lightning caused CZU fire in August, 2020, and the house next door burned down. Thankfully, our house was spared, and we are in the process of rebuilding our wooden fence that burned along with the adjacent house. We were evacuated for weeks but have now returned and are offering priority to any Bonny Doon residents who were affected by the CZU fire. Long-term rentals preferred, but weekend stays are fine as long as everyone observes Covid-19 safety measures. Please feel free to enjoy the area adjacent to the studio where the orchard and picnic table are located. We appreciate you respecting our privacy for the other half of the property. I live on the property (one acre) with my adult son and two Border Collies. Ours is a very quiet and friendly area in the redwoods, 4 miles inland from the coast. Most neighboring parcels are 2.5 acres. Everyone appreciates privacy and the natural beauty of the forest. We also have many delightful furry and winged neighbors. There is a Santa Cruz Metro bus stop just a few minutes walk from our house, which takes riders to Santa Cruz and nearby places. All roads to the property are in excellent shape and accommodate all types of vehicles. Please read the entire description. We are in the area of the recent CZU fire.
