Come stay in our cozy historic 100 year old home in the Village of Rosseau. Newly renovated, modern comforts. Search for hollyhockcottagerosseau This cozy historic village home called "Hollyhock Cottage" was purchased by my wife's great grandparents in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The Century old home has remained in the family and has been beautifully renovated to modern standards. It is our pleasure to share it with our guests. We offer a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has custom built cabinets crafted by Jennifer's uncle and gives it a comfortable country kitchen atmosphere. In front of the kitchen window is a breakfast corner table where you can relax over breakfast and morning coffee. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed with colour coordinated decor. There is also a second bedroom with a twin bed. The small bathroom features a walk in shower with a steam bath. The living room-dining room combination features a stone fireplace ( propane) with comfortable seating. Both the master bedroom and living room are equipped with dimmable lights for an added romantic atmosphere. entire house For convenient check-in, we have installed a lock box. We can be reached by phone or text, or can be available in person when needed. Rosseau definitely has Muskoka Village charm. From the Country General Store, Lake Rosseau Beach, Local Bakery with it's famous Butter Tarts and Friday's Farmers Market with many Artists and local vendors , including Live Entertainment . The village has something for everyone. A short walk from the house is the public beach (beach, playground, docks and boat launch), Marina, Farmer' Market on Fridays, and Sunday antique market. There are many shops in the village: Bakery, Craft Store, Flower shops, book store, and much more. Crossroads Restaurant offers fine dining, The Rosseau General Store . There is also a Nursing Station. Muskoka Woods Sports Resort and Rosseau Lake College are also close by. The Village of Rosseau is 2.5 hours north of Toronto via Hwy 400. We are 15 minutes from Hwy 400, and 25 minutes from Hwy 11. The towns of Parry Sound, Bracebridge, Huntsville and Port Carling are all a short drive away and offer great shopping, hospitals, and wonderful tourist attractions. Parry Sound is home to the Georgian Bay biosphere You can walk to everything in the Village, but if you want to go farther than that, you'll need a car (or bike, if you're a cycling enthusiast :). There is plenty of parking in our driveway or on the street. We are in the process of restoring flower gardens on the property. While you are staying at the house, we will be working on the yard from time to time. There is no telephone, but cellular signal is available. In season, we will provide you with a dozen farm fresh eggs, and a freshly baked goods.
