Historic Peace and Plenty Farm

Peace and Plenty Farm is a 40+ acre, stunning rural escape located in Frederick County, two miles from Historic New Market, 45 minutes from Gettysburg, and an hour from Baltimore or Washington D.C. Feel free to explore our farm’s trails and hidden gems, play yard games with the family, or swim in our lap pool (open from June through October). Our generous space is suitable for a couple's getaway, a weekend with friends, a family vacation, a working vacation, or a quiet retreat. Our pool house is a two-story guest home with vista views from every window. The freshwater lap pool is open from the beginning of June through the middle of October. The outdoor grill is yours to enjoy, along with a fire pit, plenty of outdoor seating, and flower gardens. Inside, the first-floor entertainment area boasts a bar with seating for six, a kitchenette, a sitting area, a shower room with an over-sized double-headed shower & sauna, and a separate half bath. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and a single-burner induction cook-top. Upstairs you will find a private bedroom with a king-sized bed and a view of the most glorious morning light striking across the valley. The spacious loft holds two double beds. Additional air mattresses are available if needed. A balcony overlooking the pool spans the width of the home. The home is fully temperature controlled. Our nightly base rate is for up to 4 guests. Additional guests rate is $25 per additional guest, per night. To address any concerns regarding social distancing, cleanliness, and health, we are offering the following reassurances: *The main house, cottage, and guest house are far enough away from each other to allow for no contact or interaction if you so choose. Please let us know if you desire zero personal contact while you are here at the farm. * The main house, cottage, and guest house are all at least 1/4 mile away from neighboring residences. *We are blocking off a full day in between reservations for deep cleaning and sanitizing of the guest house and pool area before you arrive. *We will notify you immediately if anyone here on the farm becomes sick with COVID. If you decide that you do not wish to visit our farm, please let us know immediately so that we may initiate the cancellation of your reservation without it affecting your AirBnb status. *If you become ill prior to your arrival, we ask that you notify us immediately so that we can make the best decision for everyone. *Please read AirBnB's "Extenuating Circumstances Policy" regarding these issues. House Rules Our farm is family-centered and kid-friendly. We have children and animals living on the farm, so to keep them safe, the maximum speed limit on the farm is 10 MPH. Smoking, vaping, etc is allowed outdoors only. No parties allowed without our prior knowledge and consent. No extra guests allowed without our prior knowledge and consent. You are welcome to explore the entire farm. There are many critters and creatures who share the farm with us. We believe in "Live and Let Live", and encourage you to do the same. Please use farm common sense: > If you go through a closed door or gate -- close it behind you. > If you go through an open door or gate - - leave it open. The pool is a common area and may be shared with the owners and other guests. Please be aware that there is no life-guard on duty. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
