Newly Refurbished Art Deco Studio
This very cosy studio apartment which has been fully refurbished in May 2020 is set within an original Art Deco Building. It is gated, has a lovely shared inner courtyard and underground carpark. It’s close to popular London Fields/ Broadway Market and it’s a short walk to Hackney Central station which takes you to Central London in 25 minutes. There's plenty of cool local places to enjoy, but you can also walk or catch the bus to fashionable Shoreditch with it's bars, restaurant and shopping. Based on the first floor, this studio apartment is a very well planned out space with a separate hallway and kitchen. It has a beautiful floor to ceiling domed cast iron window in the main living space and wall to wall fitted wardrobes. The building itself used to be called the "Electricity Showrooms" and is a very unique Art Deco building originally built in 1925. The whole apartment and the communal outdoor space. There is also an underground carpark and bike storage. The building is gated and very secure and has access from the main road with free car parking available. I am based in London so will be at hand should any issues arise, I will also leave you with a list of all the best places to visit and hang out in the local area. I'm very happy to help out where I can to make sure you have the best stay possible being a regular Air BnB user myself. There are plenty of cool little pubs, bars and restaurants in the area. Charles Bakery across the road is great for bread and pastries and there are two organic grocery store on the same street, alongside Les Nenettes which is a fab little French place with outside seating. Another favourite nearby is My Friend The Dumpling also on Lower Clapton Road where you have a couple of good pubs, cocktail bars and a wine specialist. Broadway Market and London Fields, a 10 minute walk away are also packed with more places to hang out, drink and eat. There is also an actual food market here on a Saturday. Dalston which is also a nearby area has more clubs and pubs to discover. Shoreditch is also a 25 minute walk away or 20 minutes on the bus and again has plenty of shopping and nightlife. If you head this way on a Sunday it's worth walking through Columbia Road Flower Market, which is really cute and a cool "East End" experience. There's two great pubs here - The Marksman if you want food (the chef is a Jamie Oliver protege and does a great traditional sunday roast and was voted Pub of the year recently) it also has a small roof terrace. The Royal Oak is great if you are just looking for drink or two, makes great Bloody Mary's. In Shoreditch do visit these streets for shopping; Red Church Street (Aesop, Club Monaco, Versace, Hostem...). Red Church Street also has the Conran Hotel which has a rooftop bar / restaurant and the albion on the ground floor for breakfast and lunch. Dishoom just opposite is a great indian fusion place, affordable an super tasty. There are infinite new restaurant and bar openings in Shoreditch, check out The Infatuation London for the latest. Brick Lane (vintage stores all the way), the famous Bagel Shops and the curry houses. However if you want a really good curry don't go here, make your way to Tayyabs in Whitechapel for the proper stuff, delicious! Curtain Road is also a great street and the home of super cool lifestyle store GOOD HOOD and SCP for furniture. 5 minute walk to Hackney Central Over Ground Station and plenty of buses that take you all the way in to central London (Oxford Street) and across the river Thames (London Bridge) right outside the building on Lower Clapton Road. Also a 10 minute walk to Homerton Overground Station. This space is available for longer lets. If you are a commuter a 3/4 night stay a week arrangement is also an option. Please message me for details and pricing and I can unblock the calendar accordingly.
