Access to Orono Land Trust with over 180 acres of trails, easy walk to downtown Orono and 1.5 miles to the University of Maine campus. The Hartgen Studio is less than a mile walk to downtown Orono where there is access to public transportation. When the University is in session there is a free "Black Bear Express" that travels between Mill Street and the UM campus every half hour. The Bangor Area Transportation buses also have stops in Orono that take travelers to surrounding areas including Bangor and Hampden.
