Picturesque landscape of mountains, rivers and lakes in every direction. Bear Mountain is one of the most famous hiking destinations in New York. It has a lake, boats, trails, Seven Lakes drive takes you through untouched forest (form last Ice Age) and seven completely different lakes, each with its own unique beauty. Two have swimming beaches and are open to visitors (closest is 15m drive). Can also bring a boat to all for fishing to cruising. At least 10 different farms with Pick Your Own (PYO) options from May until September. Most farms have fun activities for kids such as hay rides, unique playgrounds, petting zoos and much more fun! Across the River are famous towns of Peekskill, etc. West Point Academy is nearby. Charming towns along the Hudson with docks for boats. The best way to get here is by car but a North Metro train to Peekskills+Uber combination also works, both 35 minutes from NYC. There is another train stop in Nanuet, NY.
