Kick back on the deck for morning coffee as you watch the birds, or gaze at the mountains. Let the kids eat their pancakes in the tree house. Later, take a walk or a bike ride on the nearby rail trail, and across the trestle bridge over the Rondout Creek. Explore the charming town of Rosendale-- the great bakery, restaurants, library, and funky shops. And if you want more antiquing and dining options, quaint High Falls and Stone Ridge are just minutes away. Feeling athletic? Try rock climbing at the famous Shawangunk Mountains. Take a walk around Lake Minnewaska then head in for a swim. Play tennis in town. In the winter months head to the Catskills for a day of downhill skiing, or go cross-country or snow-shoeing at one of the many nearby trails. Domestic? The chef’s kitchen is stocked with all you could need, and with views of both the woods and the mountains, it’s an inspiring place to prepare a meal.
