Richard and Deesa live on-site. We host groups of two to four in an ample space. COVID safety is paramount. All rentals are one group only. We have a 700 sq. ft. second-floor with two large bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a living area, and a partial kitchen. We are five miles from downtown Madison, six from the UW-Madison. Our home borders an attractive retention pond and is near the Capital City Bike Path. Inquiries are always welcome. Our Madison permit ZTRHP (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) is current. We designed an Airbnb space in our new home to share with you. We love the location within walking or biking distance to good restaurants, parks, and a public beach with a seasonal beer garden. One off-street parking spot is usually available. There is a private, secure entrance, two large bedrooms, a full bath upstairs and a half bath downstairs, laundry facilities, a partial kitchen, an outdoor patio with a grill, and lots of room in the common space. For quiet downtime, there is a lovely view of the pond, access to plenty of books, board games, an LP record player, and even a piano! We plan to meet you upon arrival and show you to your private entrance through the garage exterior service door and into the house. Both of these doors have Yale Nest smart locks. Your party will rent the entire upstairs with exclusive access to two bedrooms, a full bath, a kitchenette, and a social area. There is even a patio with an outdoor natural gas grill. We or our personal first-floor guests may occasionally access the half bath and the laundry on the first floor. We plan to be here during your stay and are available by phone, email, text, or even doorbell. We can resolve any NEST Yale lock issues remotely 24/7. We will enlist neighbors if we have a planned absence. We enjoy a good conversation and love to learn about our guests, and love to tell them about our great city sometimes called "The Republic of Madison" or "101 sq. miles surrounded by reality". Our neighborhood is a repurposed industrial site with all new roads and construction. It is probably the last 20-acre parcel near downtown in the fastest growing city in Wisconsin. Current rental and condominium housing emphasize seniors and people with disabilities. New single home construction is a mix of demographics and house styles. Lake Monona, Olbrich Park, Olbrich Gardens, an outdoor beer garden, and several restaurants are all within walking distance. Madison is a premier bicycle-friendly city with bike trails in all directions. A spacious new public library remains closed for COVID. Madison abounds in Uber vehicles. The Capital City Bike trail is visible from your social area windows. Madison is one of the most bike-friendly cities and is a central hub for bike trips to outlying communities. You can store your bike in the garage or your rented space. Public bus transportation is within two blocks. This is a cable TV-free home. We get so much more done and we know you will be busy during your tourist stay. Stay off the couch and enjoy Madison. The opportunities are endless. The robust Wifi supports Netflix, Chromecast, and other means of streaming movies and shows. R1 zoning prohibits a stove in the second kitchen, but everything else is available, including an induction plate frying pan, microwave, slow cooker, etc.
