1887 Farmhouse and barn on sprawling acres in Bovina, NY. Experience the Catskills from this country chic 5 bedroom 2 bath home. Stunning views from the porch, fields for walking and wildlife will tune you in to nature. This private home has plenty of space for enjoying the indoors with a large kitchen, breakfast nook, large bath tub, and living and dining rooms. Open sky makes for great star gazing! A 30 minute drive to two ski areas. In the summer ask about wood fired bathing add on! We think we have the best view in Bovina! Look out over bobcat mountain from the porch. The home has warm sunlight throughout the day. There are more poetry books in this house than one could read in a lifetime! There is no resident cat so it is possible that you may see an occasional mouse, we have provided a bread box and ceramic jars for food storage. Many cozy books to curl up into. It is okay to explore the barn (though it is a barn and therefore not tidy). Please do not let children climb around unattended! The upstairs floor has loose boards and we ask that guests do not go upstairs in the barn. We are not responsible for any injuries. We live nearby and can come if needed but guests have privacy. This house is located on a dirt road a short drive to Bovina Village. Check out the farmers market in the summer and Russell's general store on the weekends. Dogs welcome! Dogs are welcome to be off leash from 8-4 daily, after those hours we ask that they stay on a leash outside. The neighbors dog is not always friendly so we don't want your pet to wander away. Please no pets on the furniture without a designated dog sheet or towel. We ask that guests do their own dishes. Parties of more than 8 are welcome for an additional $100 a night per person, please let us know how many is in your party. No firearms!
