Blocks away from the beautiful Ocean Park beach, this independent apartment is on the first floor of our two floors house. A charming space, fully air-conditioned, with beautiful antique Spanish floors, high ceiling and arched kitchen. It has a comfortable living room, a full kitchen, one shower room and two bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including olive oil, coffee, tea, sugar, salt and spices and opens up to the living area with an eating counter top. Filled with natural light during the day, the spacious living area has a comfy sofa with a 42” Led TV. There’s also a ceiling fan. Each bedroom has a queen size bed, a very quite AC and ceiling fan. The shower room is spacious with cotton towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner & hand soap. There are also a set of beach towels & insulated cooler bag. You will have your own set of keys to come and go as you please. After all, this is your home away from home. There is a beautiful tropical garden with hammocks, different sitting where you are welcome to relax. Our apartment is best suited for independent travelers. The apartment is completely independent. The house is located in a quiet residential gated neighborhood between Isla Verde ed and Condado (the main hotel areas) and is minutes away by car from the LMM International Airport and from the blue cobble stone streets and colorful facades of Old San Juan. Ocean Park beach is just a few blocks down the road. Walking distance from the house is the up coming revived Calle Loiza, also known as San Juan’s own hipster headquarters. The area is full of restaurants, cafes, trendy bars, yoga studios, vintage shops, boutiques, surf shops, local fruit & vegetable stands, 24/7 drugstores, 24/7 supermarkets and a public park with a running track, tennis courts, a soccer field and a children's playground that faces the ocean. The neighborhood is located near a public housing project, where a rougher side of life is the norm. But as in any other city, just avoid that area and you are fine. Hurricane Maria hit really hard on the island during the worst economic crisis of our history, thus reflecting itself in our daily life. Our neighborhood is not as beautiful as it once was since many owners have lost their homes and abandoned properties are ubiquitous. None the less, it remains a great & safe location to move around. Main streets and highway are easily accessible and the area is served by public transportation. Nearest bus stop is in front of the supermarket just around the corner. Take T5 & D53 to/from airport, Isla Verde, Condado & Old San Juan. We strongly suggest renting a car if you plan on doing day-trips outside the metro area. Charlie & Target car rental are both locally own. Otherwise, all major companies have offices at the airport. Online booking gets the best deals. We believe we are all the same with different backpacks. No matter your itbelieves, race, gender or citizenship, EVERYONE IS WELCOME! CHECK IN & OUT Check in is any time after 4pm. Check out is 11am. Wee hours check-in need to be booked from the night before. Early check-in or late check-out can only be confirm at the moment. TOWELS & BED LINENS The apartment includes a set of clean towels and beach towel for each guest & beds are ready with clean linens. Clean towels and sheets are given on a weekly basis. PLEASE: DO NOT use towels to take off make-up (it stains, specially mascara) or to clean around. If towels are found stained upon check-out, each stained towel will be charge $5 off your damage deposit. DO NOT use greasy creams or massage oil that could stain the bedroom sheets. If sheets are found stained upon check-out, $25 will be charged off your damage deposit CLEANING FEE The cleaning fee paid when booking covers only the cleaning of the unit on your check out. If you wish for the unit to be cleaned during your stay, is available upon request and has to be paid in cash at the moment: $60 for a full cleaning with change of towels & linens. $20 for a new set of linens & towels. LAUNDRY There’s a coin operated washer machine as well as a dryer machine for guests. Please use them after 4:00pm. Wash load is $4 (detergent included). Dryer is 25¢/3mins. PARKING Is available in the street right in front of the house. The house is located on a semi gated community with only local traffic, thus parking in front of the house is always available. INTERNET High speed WiFi connection available and free. MASSAGE We have a loving and caring certified masseuse that will come to the house. HURRICANE OR STORM POLICY NO refunds will be given unless: a) The National Weather Service orders mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area and/or; b) A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area, we will refund: i. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered, ii Any reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Tropical Storm or Hurricane Warning" period. c) NO REFUND is honored if it is just rains due to tropical storms - we cannot guarantee the weather. d) the vacation can be reschedule according to availability of vacant dates in the calendar. SMOKING Smoking inside inside the apartment is not allowed. Smoking is allowed only outside, in the garden. Please leave ashtrays clean after use.
