Located in a condo-hotel with 24/7 security, King bed, free wireless internet, cable TV, kitchenette, air condition, ceiling fan & safe box. Your balcony overlooks Pool & Jacuzzi. Located within short walking distance to beaches, restaurants, pubs, shops, groceries & nightlife. Front desk staff on-site happy to arrange tours of the island & provide information of the local area/activities. Enjoy free morning coffee/small cakes in the hotel lobby from 7am until finish. No daily maid service. Your condo is located on the 2nd floor and is totally cleaned for your arrival with clean bed sheets and towels however there is NO free daily maid service. Your kitchenette is small and simple for the down-to-earth person...not fancy. Your studio comes with a king-size bed with your own private bathroom/shower. Initial supply of soap, toilet paper, linen, & bath towels. During your stay laundry service is provided at US$6 per load for your own clothes or if you wish to have your towels and linen washed/dry/fold. This service is requested and paid to the hotel front desk before 10:00am and let the front desk know that you will like your laundry be picked up later in the evening. I have a broom / dustpan should you wish to do your cleaning instead of paying hotel housekeeping to clean your room. A clothes stand to hang your beach swimwear or beach towels to dry is on your balcony. Do not take the white room towels to the beach as they may get stained and you will be charged accordingly if they are stained and cannot be used for the next guests. Please bring your beach towel or you can easily buy souvenir beach towels at the local shops nearby. Hotel has an on-site restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner and there is also a bar for your convenience. There is no need to have a car as everything is just a short walk away. There are 2 lovely beaches called Playa Alicia and Playa Sosua within a 8-12 minutes walk. Self-check in with the hotel staff anytime after 3pm or with my property manager, Cristina. You must have a photo ID to check-in. If you arrive very early and your studio is not ready feel free to wait in the hotel lobby. Electricity is included in the price but please remember to turn off the a/c when you leave the room. There is a spacious balcony for you to feel the fresh, tropical breezes. During your stay please take out your garbage to the garbage chute at the end of your corridor. Getting to know different cultures , embracing them, and seeing life through the eyes of a local, is one of the reasons why staying here is so amazing. If you prefer hanging out with the locals, eating what they eat, drinking what they drink and at the same time enjoying the modern convenience of a hotel then this is the place for you...Enjoy! I am happy to have you stay at the Hotel Plaza Europa where my studio is located. Although all utilities including electricity & hot water is included in the price please conserve energy so I can continue to offer low rates. ***** Special Pricing for Long term Monthly Stays*****Only registered guests are allowed inside your room. For your safety and security purposes NO Prostitutes ! Hotel Front desk staff available to answer any questions of the local area, attractions, activities and directions. Location is just a few steps from Pubs, restaurants, shops, rental cars & bicycles, banks, dive and fishing gear, para sailing & water sports. Beauty & Facial parlors. Indoor/outdoor coffee & breakfast shops. There are 2 lovely beaches called Playa Alicia and Playa Sosua within a 8-10 minutes walk. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant and also the Hotel bar outside of the lobby is full of life and very vibrant thanks to the friendly hotel staff. Walk down Pedro Clisante and you will find other restaurant, shops, bars and cafes. Shopping, dining, bars, clubs, beaches and entertainment are just a few things that are just around the corner. The walk from the apartment to the beach down Pedro Clisante is a colorful introduction to the DR culture and you will find virtually anything you need from the mini mart around the corner. From local food to international restaurants (Italian, Chinese and a British Pub to name a few), you can enjoy a diverse cuisine. Once you get to the end of Pedro Clisante, there are a stretch of local shops that lead up to the beach. On Playa Sosua, the shopping continues with dozens of dining and retail establishments located right on the beach. If you are looking for a quieter beach experience, head over to Playa Alicia at the end of Calle Dr. Rosen. At the end of the day, the party shifts to Pedro Clisante where you can walk around at night. As with any place you would visit, use common sense, and you'll have a great time. The town is relatively small and easily walkable. You can also get around using the motoconcho, where you are basically hitching a ride on the back of someone's motorcycle. The price within the El Batey area of Sosua is approx 50 pesos, though you will certainly be quoted more if you ask them first hand. Simply tell the driver where you want to go, hop on, and hand the driver the exact fare when you arrive at your destination and walk away. The motoconcho drivers are everywhere and will actively solicit you for a ride. Do not hop a concho while you are intoxicated, medically unfit or have dizzy spells. The cheapest way to move between Sosua and the surrounding cities and towns of Puerto Plata, Cabarete and Rio San Juan, as well as the tourist resorts in between, is by guagua (Caribbean Spanish slang for bus), which are small mini-vans operating on the main highway between Puerto Plata and Rio San Juan. At peak hours they pass every five or ten minutes. Short distances (i.e., Sosua to Cabarete) should cost no more than 50 pesos or USD$1 to Cabarete, or to Puerto Plata. They will pack in up to twenty-five people per mini-van (this is not an exaggeration!), with passengers almost in each other's laps. You may even have someone's cage of roosters deposited on your lap. If you'd like a less colorful option, tourist taxis are plentiful but expensive when compared to the guagua or motoconchos in Sosua. Should you arrive by bus from Santiago, tourist taxi from Caribe Tours bus station to El Batey is around 150 pesos. A taxi from Sosua to Puerto Plata airport will charge US$25 for the car; however, many taxi drivers will attempt quote US$25 per person, so be aware. The nearest taxi stand is at the corner of Calle Pedro Clisante and Calle Dr. Rosin, however, finding a taxi or motoconcho anywhere along Pedro Clisante is easy to do. You will pay about $15US from Sosua to Cabarete; however, if you wish to be adventurous saving lots of money, you can take a guagua for about 50 pesos per person. Guaguas run through the main road (Rt. 5), which is about 1 block south of Pedro Clisante. You have to flag them down so they will stop for you.
