The Harbor Suite is tastefully decorated in a classic Maine cottage style. Queen bed, private bath, large family room with TV and expansive decks with harbor and ocean views. (No kitchen access) As a guest you will have a full run of your space and grounds. Living area, free wifi, deck with seating and tables. Spectacular views of harbor and ocean! Large backyard on harbor side of home with lawn games and adirondack chairs available. Your host and personal concierge Cap'n Dave has a wealth of local knowledge. There is no shortage of places to go, things to do, and adventures to be had! Cap'n Dave will always point you in the right direction! The Tides is located in the heart of Tenants Harbor. Tenants Harbor is a quaint fishing village on the St. George peninsula on the mid-coast of Maine. You will be treated most mornings to the lobster fleet heading out for the day. In the afternoons the sun glistens spectacularly on the harbor with a usual parade of sail boats and other pleasure craft seeking safe harbor. We encourage our guests to become a local and experience this wonderful community. From The Tides you can walk to restaurants, pubs, general store, local library, art gallery, public landing and 4 "working waterfronts" in Tenants Harbor. The St George peninsula is a great area for biking. Port Clyde another quaint fishing village is a 5 minute drive. From Port Clyde, a ferry service is available to the famous Monhegan Island. Arriving by boat? Coordinates are 43°57′40″N 69°11′5.4″W. Moorings are available for rent. From Tenants Harbor- Rockland is about a 15 minute drive. Rockport and Camden are about 25 minutes. Freeport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes, Portland 1 hour and 45 minutes and Boston is about 3 1/2 hours. The closest airport is in Rockland/Owls Head served by Cape Air with multiple flights daily to and from Boston. Rental cars available. 2 kayaks and a stand up paddle board available to guests free of charge. (subject to availability) The Tides is a 3 story cape cod style home. There are stairs and multi-levels throughout home. (No kitchen access)
