This furnished 1 bed 1 bath home with living room, office, large yard, deck, bbq grill and garage in Downtown Cambridge Ohio. Built in 1914 this home is basic and intended for work accommodations Its not a high end home and you can see its age throughout. Its a 30 Min Drive from Zanesville (Muskingham County), 40 min away from St. Clairsville, (Belmont County) 10 Min from Byesville (Guernsey County) and 25 min from Caldwell (Noble County). Perfect for travel nurses and oil/gas industry. This is one of the few available properties in the Cambridge Ohio area that has it all. 1 bedroom with one with a King sized pillow top mattress. The home is located in historic downtown cambridge. Minutes away from Genesis Hospital, Southereastern Med, St. Clairsville, Belmont County, Caldwell, Byesville, and Zanesville. The rental price includes everything! All utilities, cable tv, internet, lawn care, heating and air-conditioning. The home is two levels. On the second level is 1 bedrooms with a half bath. On the main/ground floor is the living room. There is a seperate dining room with a large family style table with 6 chairs. The kitchen is an eat in kitchen with table with 2 chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with Electric Range, Refridgerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, utensils for 6, and all the pots and pans, plates, bake ware you would need to fully prepare meals. All linens and towels are provided so you only need to bring your toothbrush. There is a desk, with office file cabinet and chair. There is also a full bathroom with Shower on the main floor. Just off the kitchen is an attached deck with Gas BBQ grill and chairs to enjoy the quiet park like back yard. Below the main deck of the house is a covered deck as well with access into the basement at ground level. Also there is an attached one car garage in the back of the house, however you have to go outside and enter the house from the back as there is not direct access into the house from the garage. WIFI, eithernet internet at 100mbs and cable tv ( via the spectrum application) with over 120 channels is included. The home also has air both central air conditioning and booster wall units and a good strong hot water for nice relaxing showers. Parking is located both on the street and in the driveway behind the home accessable via the back alley. There is ample parking on the street and is just steps to the home with no hills to go up to get inside. There are two steps up to the porch and of course stairs to the basement and to the upstairs level. The house is fully carpeted with the exception of the bathrooms and kitchen. The minimum stay is 14 days, Pets are allowed with advance permission a small charge or deposit may be required. The house just undergone a full interior and exterior repainting in June of 2018. All of the photos attached here are the current photos. The water lines and many of the sewer lines have been replaced as well as all the faucets so there is good solid water pressure. There is a full basement which has recently been painted however there is no real reason to have to go down there. Guests have access to the entire house when rented. However we are setting up another bedroom that is not complete yet. Also we are adding another bathroom These areas are off limits to guests with the exception of the laundry area. One small linen closet is kept for the housekeeper located in the dining room, otherwise when you rent this property the entire house is for you. I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida and travel often back and forth to the area. I have a housekeeper that handles the cleaning and local contacts just in case of maintenance. I do ask that guests utilize the Airbnb platform to communicate just in case my phone doesn't get service where i am or in the occasion that it may break or be lost. The home is located in Historic Cambridge Ohio which is at the intersection of Interstate 70 going east and west and Interstate 77 which runs north and south. Its location to the two interstates makes it a great location with excellent access to surrounding areas such as Belmont County, St. Clairsville, Zanesville, Byesville, Caldwell, and Zanesville. The neighborhood is quiet. The locals consider this area to be one of the nicer areas of town. However it has the same small problems as large towns. You may see an occasional walker or jogger on the sidewalk in front of the house but otherwise its very quiet. Sometimes people gossip a lot so you have to be able to filter out the small town dramas. You can walk three blocks to Wheeling Ave which is considered the main street of Cambridge. Public Transportion is available but very limited. Its best if your coming into town to rent a car in a larger city or airport. There is a bus service from Cleveland, Akron, Columbus and the larger citys that you can take to cambridge which the pick up and drop off is located at the local Sheets Gas Station. The name of the bus service is called Barons Bus and Gobus. There is a local bus around Cambridge and its called (Website hidden by Airbnb) There is a budget rent a car in Cambridge should you need to rent a car locally. NOTE: As of June 2018 Uber and Lyft are only available to Cambridge from the larger cities such as Columbus or Akron but at this time you wont be able to request a ride back. Its important to know the following about the home: The home was built in 1914. Most of the systems, i.e. a/c, heat, water heater, stove, fridge, most of the wiring, etc are newer. There are some original components such as light fixtures and the windows which are original. Its possible that the windows may be hard to open (not impossible) when it gets hot because the wood swells up. The house is well built so its old. Its normal and common that repairs and maintenance are ongoing and its likely at some point something will need to be repaired. Also the home has a dehumidifier in the basement that we leave run all the time to remove excess humidity. If the a/c is turned off and the windows left closed up for any length of time the house gets the "closed up house smell" Its important to run the a/c or heat or open some windows if you dont want to run the a/c. Old house smell is not a hazard and quickly goes away after the space is occupied for a few hours. Also, very important to know that there are limited numbers of electrical outlets in the bedrooms. We have made some provisions so that there is power at the night stands of the beds with a power strip, but its normal to see a few extension cords around the house because of the location of the outlets. Also there is some discoloration in the master bedroom carpet however it has been deep steam cleaned many times and will not come out, however the carpets are regularly steam cleaned.
