Treehouse of the Royal Palm
Visit the Treehouse of the Royal Palm. You will experience the magic of our tropical flora, fauna, and rolling rain on a metal roof in rural Puerto Rico "el campo". This outdoor-experience is complete with the occasional visit by jungle critters, bats, birds, geckos and coquis (local frogs). The jungle vibe is evident the moment you enter. This treehouse surrounds a palm tree, which is open to the outdoors and 20' up in the air, with views of the jungle. The mini-kitchen includes electric skillet, microwave oven, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The mini-kitchen is great for re-heating already prepared food. NOT intended for cooking meals. The bathroom is more than adequate with a hot shower, vessel sink, and compost toilet. The bedroom is open and spacious. The second bedroom is a small loft with queen bed above the kitchen accessed by ladder. Be aware, that you may be awakened by bird songs and fall asleep to a symphony of the frogs. Ear plugs are recommended and bring Melatonin or another sleep aid if you have a hard time falling or staying asleep. Note: Puerto Ricans love their dogs and several live close by. Please contact the Property Manager if there is excessive barking. A new treehouse has been added nearby and voices may be heard through the foliage. Please be respectful of the other guests. And they've been asked to do the same. Quiet hours begin at 10pm Guests have access to the 5 acres of grounds landscaped with brick and flagstone walkways, terraces, rock walls & various ponds.
