Perched on top of a hill in the Hollywood Heights district of the Hollywood Hills, this historical Spanish Mediterranean style villa offers stunning panoramic views of Hollywood, the city, Griffith Observatory, and the Santa Monica mountains. It has a heated pool and jacuzzi, colorful garden, private parking, 3 well-appointed and spacious bedrooms, 3 baths, a home entertainment room (doubling as a 4th bedroom). It can sleep 8 guests. Hollywood's renown Walk of Fame is a 15 minute walk away. The villa, built in 1922 (upgraded in 2008), was once owned by Fletcher Bowrun, mayor of Los Angeles (1938-1953), and actress Adrianna Casoletti, the voice of Snow White in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The immediate area in Hollywood Heights has been home to numerous luminaries in the film and music industries, dating back to the silent film era. In the neighborhood are historic-cultural landmarks like the High Tower (circa 1902) and the home of Benjamin Apthorp Gould Fuller, a famous philosopher who promoted inner peace and virtue. The villa is only a 3 min. walk from the Hollywood Bowl where world renown artists perform. The property is tranquil and immune to even the wildest rock concerts, despite being nearby. From the moment you pull up the curved, steep, gated driveway into a small private parking lot you are captured by the alluring, four-story majestic Spanish Mediterranean villa. A sense of nobility comes to mind as you gaze at its features. As the prominence of the villa, perched on the hillside, welcomes your approach, you know you are in for a unique experience. The luxury villa has over 3,100 sq feet of guest living space. On the way to the main entrance, you pass a lovely garden full of flowering plants and tall palm trees that harbors an 18,000-gallon heated pool and jacuzzi (heating is charged extra) with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, towels, and outdoor umbrellas for sun worshipping. The charming outdoor area offers 12,200 sq feet of grandiose living. On the way to the main door, you will encounter an outdoor patio with a tall fountain, dining table, and Weber propane bar-b-que grill. The ground floor provides a fully facilitated laundry room. Upon entering the house, you’ll be captured by the living room’s spaciousness, its tall, vaulted ceiling, gas fireplace, arched windows and beautiful glass doors leading to a balcony where you can sit, relax and chat with family and friends while taking in the spectacular view. The main floor has a formal dining area and a fully furnished kitchen, pantry, and informal dining spot with all the electronic gadgets you need to create culinary miracles. The main floor includes a bathroom with shower, library/home entertainment center with full screen HD projection, JBL sound system, top of the line Spectrum cable, Netflix, and Apple TV where you can log-on to your favorite apps. The beautiful modern sofa doubles as a comfortable queen bed. This room is an excellent, intimate location for you to gather friends and family to have fun. For those who appreciate fast internet, the villa offers up to 450mbps download and 20mbps upload speeds. To top it off, the master bedroom has its own home entertainment system which duplicates the library/home entertainment room. The property comes with a senior caretaker who lives in a separate unit on the ground floor with a separate entrance and detached parking. He manages contractors, oversees the upkeep of the property, manages mail, and takes care of urgent guest issues, otherwise he is seldom seen on the property. He is a book author who rarely has visitors and makes no noise. He is also a published psychologist, yogi, and recognized in the Far East as a meditation teacher. For those interested, meditation lessons can be offered upon request. Guest privacy on the property is ensured. Guests will need to sign a Rental Agreement upon arrival at the property.
