The Space: Running Wild is truly a special property many dream about but few get to experience. Sierra Blanca and Monjeau Peaks tower over this handsomely appointed property. Surrounded by the lush woods of the Lincoln National Forest, discerning guests looking for remoteness and privacy in a true mountain estate need not look further! Access to the property is off a grated and gravel road as you head toward the base of the mountain. The entrance is gated and requires a code for the keypad (provided w/in 24 hours of arrival). As you drive up the lane you'll notice the pond and extensive grounds with lots of space for parking and the house toward the back of the acreage. Keep to the left side and the entrance to the house is around the back side with plenty of parking and level to the porch for easy loading and unloading. As you step through the front door, you'll immediately fall in love with this gorgeous luxury home. Custom finishes, high ceilings with 8' doors, and the grand rustic decor compliment the alpine feel. As you walk through foyer to the game room you know you're in for a holiday of great family fun complete with pool table, shuffle board, big screen TV and plenty of seating for everyone to hang out. Large windows face out to the front of the property with views of the pond, forest, and view of Monjeau Peak. To the right of the game room is a hallway that leads to a convenient powder bath and kitchenette complete with large sink, microwave and refrigerator ready to stock with cold drinks and munchies for game night. There's also access to a large laundry/ mud room with washer and dryer. 2 bedrooms are located on this level, one on the left and one on the right side of the game room. Each bedroom is spacious and inviting, complete with plush carpet, luxurious bedding, TV, ceiling fans and each have their own full bath with granite vanity, closet, linen closet, and shower/tub combo. Large windows bring in lovely natural light and a door leads out to a private covered patio, perfect to kick back and relax with morning coffee and watch the clouds roll past the mountain peaks. There are 18 steps up from the game room to the main level (2nd floor). Immediately to the right is another bedroom your guests will just love! High ceilings and windows that bring in wonderful natural light and reach for the clouds. It has a king bed, plush carpeting and beautiful linens. It's so cozy and inviting you'll never want to leave. There's also a built in desk for getting a little work done, ceiling fan, and TV, The adjoining private bath has beautiful granite vanity, huge shower/ tub combo and walk-in closet. There's also a secret play space for little ones to hang out and read or nap. From the hallway, the great room open up with soaring cathedral-beamed ceilings and huge windows with views of the National Forest and mountain peaks. The open floor plan boasts plenty of open spaces for entertaining. The dining area has a large table with seating for 6 that can be extended to get more folks around the table for dinner time. The living room has large overstuffed leather couches and chairs for lounging by the gas fireplace on a chilly winter night, or gathering around the big screen TV and cheer on your favorite teams! This home has a private entry gate with it's own code. After entering the code, wait 5-10 seconds for the gate to engage. When entering the gate opens away from you. When exiting the gate opens toward you. Do not approach the gate until fully open. Driving access is generally easy to moderate. Due to the secluded nature of this special property, guests may experience deep snow and snow pack. The Neighborhood: Extremely secluded and mountainous with beautiful tall pines and amazing wildlife! The Wild Horses of Alto frequent this property as well! While Alto and Ruidoso provide visitors and residents that "away from it all" feeling, the property is conveniently located just 2 miles from the turn off to Ski Apache and Ruidoso Winter Park, 3 miles from Alto Lake, and 10 minutes from Ruidoso's bustling Midtown and Grindstone Lake.
