Great for singles, couples, or a family of 4. Perfect for spending a day relaxing and reading a good book, fishing, water sports, golfing, and also to use as a home base for fun day trips. The cottage is newly renovated, clean, and bright, with deck for watching sunsets over Lake Champlain and dining outdoors. Flat screen TV, wifi are available. Linens and towels provided. You can fish off our dock or comb the beach for coral reef fossils. Dogs are welcome, but require Owner approval and payment of a $75 per dog per trip fee, maximum of 2 dogs. Located on west shore of Alburgh just north of North Hero, facing Isle LaMotte. Beautiful sunsets and night skies. Watch the osprey, bald eagles, hawks, and gulls soar overhead. This cottage has views of the open field to the east, which means spectacular sunrises and moonrises! Enjoyed our shared private beachfront. Fishing (need license), swimming, and sunning on site, with a boating mooring available. Contact owner to reserve mooring. The cottage is one mile from the Alburgh Sand Dunes State Park, which has a beautiful kid-friendly sandy beach. Recently upgraded, it now has a playground for children, many picnic tables, changing rooms, and lots of parking. Its long beach is also a wonderful place for a walk. The Alburgh Golf Links, which includes the 19th Hole Bar and Grill, is a great place for lunch on the large deck that looks south over the first fairway and Lake Champlain. This is our favorite place for lunch. Our favorite places for dinner include Ransom Bay Inn in Alburgh, Ruthcliffe Lodge in Isle LaMotte, and Shore Acres in North Hero. North Hero also has North Hero House and its Pier Bar and Grill. Hero's Welcome is a fun general store, bakery, and deli (great sandwiches), and also rents and sells water toys and equipment. Just across the bridge from us in Isle LaMotte are the following: St. Anne's Shrine; Hall's Apple Orchard, Cafe, and Farm Stand; Happy Bird Smokehouse and Farm Market; Sandy Bottom Farm Stand; and the ancient coral reefs at both Goodsell Ridge and Fisk Quarry. Fun day trips are easy to Montreal (bring your passport) and Burlington! Vt Room & Meals Tax # MRT-10649671.
