Cozy log cabin with simple mountain atmosphere. Perfect for couples and families. Privately located on approx. 5 wooded acres. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee/ tea while looking at the great view on the front porch, or relax while reading a good book in the the hammock. Cabin features include all the modern comforts of home. WiFi throughout the cabin, and TV w/DVD player and Chrome Cast (so you can stream your favorite shows from your device). There is a game room on the lower level with a TV, pool table, and ski ball game. There is also a 5 person hot tub on the back porch. Full kitchen with cooking supplies and a Keurig coffee maker. Approximate drive times to nearby towns: West Jefferson- 20 minutes; Boone- 30 minutes ; Blowing Rock- 40 minutes Sleeps 6. Master bedroom has a queen size bed. Open loft over the living room has a queen size bed. Day bed with trundle located on lower level/ game room. Gas logs in living room, propane heater in master bedroom and lower level, and an electric heater in bathroom. Window AC units in kitchen/ living room, master bedroom, and lower level during warmer months. Approximate drive times to nearby towns: West Jefferson- 20 minutes; Boone- 30 minutes ; Blowing Rock- 40 minutes; Banner Elk- 55 minutes. Approximate drive times to nearby attractions: Sugar Mountain Ski Resort- 55 minutes; Beech Mountain Ski Resort- 1 hour, 15 minutes- Appalachian Ski Mountain- 40 minutes- Hawks Nest Snow Tubing- 55 minutes; Tweetsie Railroad- 35 minutes. While I am a dog lover and a dog owner, I understand that not all of our guests are (and neither is our cleaning crew). Therefore, NO PETS are allowed. Some other things to note: There is an outdoor security camera, facing the driveway.      If staying for one week or longer, the hot tub will be serviced during your stay. We will contact you to coordinate a convenient time for this service. There are a few locked cabinets/ refrigerator in the cabin that is used for our personal storage. Please respect our privacy and do not open. Check-in is any time after 3 pm. Check-out is at 11 am; Departing later will result in a $125 fee, with $25 fee for each 30 min increment thereafter.
