HISTORIC WATERFRONT HOME WITH PANORAMIC VIEWS Beautifully restored, historic 1903 Light Keeper’s Residence, with a full kitchen, and furnished with antiques. Described US Lighthouse Society as “one of the finest examples of lighthouse property restoration in the country.” It sleeps a maximum of 6 people (including children), in three large bedrooms. The waterfront home overlooks lush gardens and a sweeping park lawn that slopes gently down to the saltwater beach and the iconic Browns Point Lighthouse. Breathtaking views of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains, and Tacoma’s jewel box city lights. Enjoy a unique experience during your stay at our Light Keeper’s Cottage, as an Honorary Lightkeeper. You can experience some of the life of the Lightkeepers of yesteryear, with duties of putting out the flag daily, keeping the cottage and yard tidy and maintaining a log of maritime traffic (optional) PLEASE NOT PUBLIC TOURS ARE CANCELLED THROUGH APRIL,2022. IF YOU BOOK DATES AFTER APRIL 30, 2022, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH WILL APPLY: "Each Saturday, from May through September, trained docents will be in the cottage and on site from 12:30 to 4:30 pm, to conduct and narrate public tours. If your rental period includes a Saturday, we require that you vacate the cottage for four hours for the tours." TRAVEL ADVISORY: Gov. Jay Inslee advises Washingtonians, and others visiting Washington, to comply with the Center for Disease Control’s current COVID-19 travel advisory guidance. If you must travel, it is recommended to take steps to protect yourself and others: If you are eligible, please get fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Before you travel, please get a viral test 1-3 days before your trip. Wear a mask over your nose and mouth when in public. Avoid crowds and stay at least 6 feet/2 meters (about 2 arm lengths) from anyone who did not travel with you. It is recommended to get tested 3-5 days after your trip and stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel, even if your test is negative. If you don’t get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel. Please read our rental documents thoroughly before signing, to determine if this experience will fit your expectations and needs. A cleaning and sanitizing fee of $75 will be charged. The cottage rental is for personal use only. No parties, events, or wedding-related activities are permitted on this historic property. Sorry, no pets allowed. There are three large bedrooms, two have queen beds and the other has a double and twin bed. The cottage has a modern kitchen that is stocked with all the utensil you need to cook your meals. Wi-Fi, TV, and DVD player are available. We look forward to your visit.
