Wifi is very fast from 300-630 mbps. Plenty of safe, free parking. This large room has high ceilings, dual-pane windows, linen curtains, a large walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom. A stone staircase connects parking to a private entrance. The glass patio door looks onto the Zen garden, a busy spot for bunnies and birds every morning. We are in the Santa Cruz Mountains, not an urban location. We have Verizon at our house and spotty ATT cell coverage in the immediate surrounding areas. We offer a kitchenette with ample counter space, mini-fridge, microwave, electric water kettle, coffee maker, basic plates, and silverware. Great for take-out or pre-made food. There are major grocery stores and good restaurants located 10 minutes away in Felton. We are in Bonny Doon with easy access to Felton, right across from the Cal Fire Station. Our location is uniquely positioned at the apex of three roads—one road heads west to the North Coast (Highway 1) beaches, Davenport, 4-Mile, and Ano Nuevo. Or head East and wind down through Fall Creek's old-growth Redwoods where, a 10-minute drive away, you will find groceries and cafes in Felton, and the famous Henry Cowell Redwood State Park. The third road takes you either north or south to world-class mountain biking and hiking trails around UCSC and Wilder Ranch. Or head all the way down to the Westside of Santa Cruz in about 20 minutes for shopping, outdoor restaurants, wine and beer gardens, and Natural Bridges State Park. Or enjoy our mountain wineries, Hallcrest and Beauregard Vineyards, both provide an outdoor oasis with live music on most weekends. I have a friendly Chocolate Lab that may stop by for a visit. We are in Bonny Doon in the heart of the Santa Cruz mountains. We are 15 minutes from UCSC, 20 minutes from Santa Cruz, and 10 minutes from Felton. We have lots of wildlife in our forests. Pets need to be kept close. We have Verizon and ATT cell service at the house, but many areas here have limited cell reception (no cell towers in Bonny Doon). The closest town is Felton, which is about 10 minutes away. There are two major grocery stores, Rite Aid and CVS as well as some restaurants. The Redwood Pizzeria and Cowboy Diner are two good ones. This studio unit has been recently remodeled with new paint, furniture, and fixtures. Modern comfort styling includes a bar cart and local artwork. It's like checking into a luxury hotel room for a third of the price. There are stairs between the parking area and the front door, but you can park in front of the main house to drop off, etc without using the stairs. There is an Orbi WIFI network extender in the room to provide stable WIFI. The cleaning fee includes professionally laundered towels and linens.
