Welcome to the Cottage in a popular area of Southern Shores, neighboring town of Duck, NC. Located halfway between the ocean and the sound, The Cottage sits just three minutes to the town of Duck! A direct-lighted crosswalk provides easy access to the beach, which is only a quick 7-minute walk. Also, provided are passes to park at the Hillcrest Beach access private parking lot with showers, bathrooms and a lifeguard. The Cottage is a spacious home with 3,300 square feet of space divided up into three floors. The surrounding gardens and live oak trees are lovely and provide a beautiful spot to relax and play. There are porches on each level, and every bedroom has a door that leads out to a porch. After a long day at the beach, enjoy taking a shower in the oversized outdoor shower or a soak in the hot tub located on the porch off of the master bedroom. The main living space has a beautiful dining area with a dining table that can seat 8-10 people comfortably with a gorgeous Serena & Lily light fixture overhead. The kitchen opens to the main living space and has a professional DCS gas range and hood with 4 burners and griddle, trash compactor, large walk-in pantry, under counter and above cabinet lighting and a 7-foot island with bar stools. The kitchen comes complete with all of your cooking and dining needs. The great room offers three separate spaces to relax and unwind and spend time together. The main living space offers plush seating with decorative pillows and décor and a direct view of the big screen television and fireplace. A cozy raised nook offers views of the trees and is a quiet place to read and relax on a comfortable daybed. Another calm space in the living area has two comfortable rattan chairs and footstools to kick your feet up! There are four generously sized bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. The ground level mother-In-law suite has its own private entrance; daybed in the sitting area; kitchenette with a classic SMEG refrigerator; king bed; large bedroom closet; full bath; and Andersen double French doors that open to back covered south facing patio. Three of the bedrooms are located on the mid-level. The first bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk beds. The second bedroom is the master bedroom with a king sized teak four-poster bed. The third bedroom has a king sized bed. All bedrooms have their own televisions with cable. There is a laundry room located on the mid-level. The laundry room comes complete with an ironing board and Meyers detergent and dryer sheets.
