Private Guest Suite w/Private Bath & Kitchenette

Welcome! Thanks for considering my home for your stay! My guest suite is an efficiency apartment on the second floor of my home. Entry is through my 1st floor living area. I am a easy going host. You are invited to come and go as early or late as you like. Easy commute to NYC, bus stop 1/2 block. I am a licensed massage therapist with an office on the premises. Contact me to schedule an appointment. The Guest Suite has recently undergone extensive remodeling and redecorating. It has a clean, fresh, modern look. The suite consists of a living room with a sofa bed, a Smart TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime subscriptions), a dining area w/table, a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker, a bedroom with a queen bed, two closets and a private, en suite bathroom. There is a desk with office supplies in the bedroom. Coffee, tea, oatmeal and bottled filtered water are supplied. High Speed Internet with a download speed of up to 800 mbps. Please be advised, as per airbnb rules, that the person booking the listing must be staying at the listing. You cannot book for another person if you are not staying at the listing with them. They must create their own profile and book the listing themselves. Thank you. There is one parking space available at my neighbor's house 3 doors down. Overnight street parking is not allowed in West Orange. The host maintains a fragrance free residence and requests that guests please be fragrance free as well. If you smoke, please don't book my listing, I'm very allergic. Thank you very much! I do supply fragrance free personal care products that guests are welcome to use. For those with cat allergies I do have a cat. I do not allow her upstairs. I also use strong HEPA filter air cleaners and cat allergy sufferers have not reacted when staying here. The ceilings are slanted and you may bump your head if you are very tall (see photos). There is one flight of steep stairs with a slightly awkward turn at the top which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Guests will have the use of the entire Second Floor Private Guest Suite and to the beautiful backyard garden. Access to the guest suite is through the host's first floor living area. The garden has two separate garden "rooms" each with a furnished patio. And there is a small deck with a table for two just outside the back door as well. The garden is shared with the host and a downstairs tenant. I occasionally rent out the garden for small dinner parties. Airbnb guests will not have garden access on those few occasions. The amount of interaction with host is entirely up to guests. The host is a New Jersey State licensed massage therapist with a massage office on the premises. Massage appointments are available to guests for $10 off of the regular price of $90 for a 60 min massage and $135 for 90 min. Contact Host to book appointments in advance. The house is located in the desirable Pleasantdale section of West Orange which is centrally located in Essex County. This makes it convenient to Montclair, Cedar Grove, Orange, East Orange, Newark, Livingston, Verona, Caldwell, West Caldwell, Roseland, Essex Fells. An easy commute to New York City. Located 2 blocks from Pleasantdale Center's shops and restaurants. There is Italian, Mexican and Chinese food, a Bagel Deli, Bonds Tavern with great pub food, as well as a Dunkin Donuts and Burger King all within walking distance. There is a large, delicious selection of prepared foods at Whole foods, 1 mile away, Shop Rite 2.2 miles and Aaron's Kosher grocery store .4 mile away. Montclair center is 2.2 miles away. You will also be near Rutgers Medical school 9 mi, St Barnabas Hospital 4.7 mi, Montclair State University 5 mi, Seton Hall University 8.4 mi, The Wilshire Grand 3 blocks, The Pleasantdale Chateau .3 mi, the Turtle Back Zoo and South Mountain Arena 3.9 mi, Seton Hall University 4.8 mi. Close to many houses of worship. Walking distance to several synagogues and a Chabad Shabbat House is 2 blocks away. There are hiking trails, with stunning views of Manhattan, in Eagle Rock Reservation 2.3 mi, and South Mountain Reservation 3 mi. Scenic Verona Park 1.6 mi. has a 1.25 mi walking/running path around the lake and exercise circuit stations that also circles the lake. Uber and Lyft are very active in this area. So are Doordash, Grub Hub and Uber eats. Trains to New York City leave from Orange Train Station which is 6 miles and 9 min away. DeCamp Bus 66R to Manhattan stops 1/2 block from house.
