Clear Lake is a 233-acre natural lake located 5 miles west of the city of Three Rivers. The lake consists of two basins separated by a shallow bar. The north and south basins have maximum depths of 31 ft and 30 ft, respectively. Drop-offs generally are gradual. About 37% of the lake (by surface area) is less than 5 ft deep, and 71% of the lake is less than 20 ft deep. Sand and marl substrates are common along the shoreline in the southern basin and along the eastern side of the northern basin
