Cypress Villa - Whole House

Our bright and sunny west coast home sits on Mt. Holmes, towering above the quaint town of Youbou and overlooking the beautiful Cowichan Lake and southern mountains. The home has a large, open plan living area and huge wrap around deck to enjoy BBQs and relaxation in your private pool and hot tub. There are views of Cowichan Lake, forest and mountains from each room. You can find french doors leading from each bedroom and dining/kitchen onto the deck with access to the pool, hot tub and BBQ. *SUMMER 2022 - our calendar will open for July-August bookings on the first of spring - March 21, 2022. For bookings outside of July/August, please consider the upper part of the villa only (in our other listings - “Cypress Villa”. Our villa style home has a very large deck; perfect for entertaining. The well stocked kitchen is also spacious and has a double wall oven and a large, commercial style fridge with double doors. In the upper suite, there are two bedrooms, each with a king bed. The master has an ensuite bathroom, and there is another bathroom in the corridor. In the separate pool house, there is a small bedroom with 2 bunk beds (4 separate twin beds), bathroom as well as a live edge bar overlooking the pool and lake, with fridge to make drinks pool-side. Access to the main house is via the garage or from the wrap around deck. The garage features a full sized ping pong table and is where the after-hours fun is at! Deck/outdoors: For use between 8am-10pm. Outdoor furniture and BBQ for year round use, weather permitting. Pool area is furnished and most comfortable from May - September (though you are welcome to take cold winter dips - hydrotherapy!). Pets: The one-acre property is fully fenced and gated, but we ask that pets are supervised at all times. They are welcome off leash in the home and on the wrap-around deck which is enclosed - there is access to a small gravel area for your furry friends to relieve themselves. Parking: There is parking for up to 6 cars in front of the house, and a small boat. Please inform us in advance if you will be bringing any extra equipment such as a boat. The Cowichan Valley ("the warm land") can be warm during summer, perfect for relaxing in the pool or lake. To cool down, there are ceiling fans in each room in addition to large sliding doors. During the winter months, there is an open fireplace for use upstairs and wood burning stove in the downstairs suite. Cell reception can be patchy in our home. Modern smartphones have "wifi calling" feature which will enable your phone to make and receive phone calls and texts as normal, when connected to wifi.
