Silver Lake Cottage Located just outside of Traverse City, this newly renovated cottage is cozy, clean, and serene. Set off a long dirt drive, the location is private and breathtaking; views of the water and the woods offer an Up North feel only 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. The decor is intentionally simple to feature natural views and accommodate guests' belongings. This home is ideal for a family with children wanting a comfortable beach vacay, or a small group of friends planning a quiet getaway near wineries, trails, and some of the best restaurants around! The cottage has two bedrooms on the main level (one queen bedroom overlooking the lake and one bedroom with a full-over-full bunk and twin trundle). The main living room has a stunning, original vaulted ceiling and sunrise views. Also on the main level is a charming, fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, and washer, and dryer. The kitchen hosts both a dining nook, comfortably seating six, and a small breakfast bar with stool seating for two. All appliances are brand new and for guests to use. The downstairs is an entirely renovated studio space with a full bathroom. The space can function as a second living area for entertainment or another bedroom, as it has a comfortable queen murphy bed that easily transitions from a sofa to sleeper in seconds. This downstairs living space opens up to a screened-in porch, which opens up to the beachfront. The outdoor space is just as beautiful as the indoor! A large top deck overlooks tall maples and the southern quiet cove of Silver Lake - perfect for morning coffee, grilling, evening cocktails, and stargazing. The beachfront has a clean, sandy bottom and provides endless hours of castle building, sunbathing, swimming, fishing (Bass, Perch, Pike, Walleye, Sunfish, and Bluegill are plentiful!), kayaking, or paddleboarding. A large screened porch provides a break from the sun and bugs for games and conversation. Bonus: Silver Lake is known for being the warmest of lakes in the area! Though an obvious warm weather getaway spot, this home is ideal year-round. The canopy of leaves in the fall might even beat the summer views! In the winter, sledding hills, skating rinks, trails, and skiing hills are all short drives away (30 minutes to Crystal Mountain and 45 minutes to Caberfae Peaks). Pick your adventure and then return home for hygge and hot chocolate! It doesn't get better than this! You will want to rebook year and year again! Guests will be able to reach out at any point with questions or concerns via call, text, or Airbnb. We strive to be readily available to all guests. Please note: this is a home located in a private & quiet neighborhood. We appreciate no parties / large gatherings / events on site. Downtown Traverse City is only a 19 minute drive! Check-In: Is at 4pm (Early Check-in is not possible due to our cleaning crew needing to complete their work) Check-Out: Is at 10am (We are unable to accommodate late check-out, our cleaning service will arrive at the house promptly at 10 AM.) *Please note when booking you will incur the following charges under Required Fees: - Processing Fee: 3% - Cleaning Fee: $250 In addition, you will also be charged with a security Deposit of $1000 fully refundable within 14 days of your stay, as long as no damages occur.
