The Farmhouse at Flatbottom is hidden down a gravel drive, surrounded by trees on 2 private acres situated between neighboring acres of horse & cattle farms. Nature abounds from every view during your secluded stay in the woods. While feeling worlds away, this gem is actually located just minutes from historic Downtown Ball Ground, Gibbs Gardens, North Georgia wedding venues & wineries. This is the perfect get-away spot for your girl's weekend, a little romance, fellowship retreat, a close-by stay for the family wedding, your wedding night or just some quiet time away from it all. The Main Floor: Enjoy a night-in relaxing comfortably in the living room with sofa, loveseat, rocker & stone fireplace. Cook your favorite meal in the fully equipped kitchen which includes all of the essential appliances & utensils as well as a toaster oven, microwave & coffee station. Enjoy your meal at the dining table serving 6. A huge front porch with seating looking out at the private front yard. Covered back deck looking out at the Private back yard. Powder room on the main floor hallway. The king bedroom is located on the main floor with an en suite which includes a cozy jetted tub. Upstairs Bedrooms 2nd bedroom includes a queen bedroom. 3rd bedroom includes two twin beds. These bedrooms share a hall bath with shower. The finished basement includes: Family room with stone fireplace Dining table seating 6 4th Bedroom includes 2 twin beds Laundry Room: washer, dryer, iron, ironing board Terrace level patio entrance Spend time outside enjoying nature from the large front porch, back deck, and large front and back yards. You're likely to see and hear our furry neighbors including horses, cows, donkeys and even the farm cat next door. Please don't feed or pet the neighbors' animals. Guests have the house and yard to themselves. I can be reached throughout your stay for any questions you may have. Downtown Ball Ground's walkable main street town is only a mile away. Just a minute to The Wheeler House & The Corner District. Gibbs Gardens is just a short 15 minute drive. A short drive to wedding venues such as: West Milford Farm Greystone Estate The Tate House Big Canoe The Rock Barn Fendley Farmstead Conveniently located just a few miles from interstate 575 for easy access to shopping, Atlanta or the North Georgia Mountains & wineries. This is a beautifully rustic, 40 year-old farmhouse in the woods, but we do have neighbors. You may hear construction from a house being built nearby, as well as farm equipment, people occasionally driving by with horse trailers, etc as life is going on around us. Being in the woods, you may also see insects or wildlife throughout your stay. It's some of what we love about this property, and if you love nature, you will too. Please do not to open windows without screens so that bugs don’t get in from the woods. One last note, while we rarely have a power or internet outage, it can happen. We will do everything in our power to promptly notify the proper restoring officials, but we will not be able to guarantee restoration at any certain time, or give refunds or discounts in the event of any outage.
