What's nearby: The beach here tends to be uncrowded, and is a great spot to hunt for agates or fly kites. Salishan Resort is a short drive toward Lincoln City, where you can enjoy a day at the spa or play a round of golf. Continue on to Lincoln City for year-round crabbing and clamming. Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area is a short drive in the other direction toward Depoe Bay, where you can picnic or play on the beach and search for tide pools among the rocks. Just a bit further down the road is Depoe Bay, home of the world's smallest harbor and a fantastic place for whale watching.
